We are very excited to bring you our 2016 wholesale brochure which is full of our all
time best sellers and some fantastic new products- all of which have been performing
exceptionally well in our own Montezuma’s retail shops.
As well as our amazing Montezuma’s range we are also proud to present our range of
100g Kingdom Chocolate Bars, which offer the same flavour innovation and quality as
Montezuma’s bars but are designed to be sold within the entry level quality market.
Kingdom Bars differ from the Montezuma’s range as they have a delicious ganache
filling. We are so confident that Kingdom Bars should be sold alongside Montezuma’s
that we have started to sell them in our own shops, and have received a fantastic
response to the range!
As well as the introduction of our Kingdom bars, we have also included details on our
new Bespoke Montezuma’s service which offers our wonderful customers the chance
to have a product made to their specifications!

Organic Buttons - Our all time best seller!
An explosion of flavour and fun squeezed inside a thick
chocolate ball. A Caramel Bombe is a flavour explosion
like no other covered in a thick chocolate shell. One bite
and the soft and delicate caramel will be oozing out.
These lovely buttons are made from our house
blended organic chocolate. They have been part
of our range since our foundation 15 years ago,
and we regularly have queues down the street on
button delivery day! Our buttons now come in
shelf display packaging, making merchandising
a walk in the park!

We design our truffles using the quintessential Monty’s way, not the Belgian way or the French way, but our way, if you like,
the third way! We generally strive for a firmer ganache centre with a good snappy chocolate shell. Every one of our truffles has
an individual appearance and we continue to follow our fundamental policy of fine innovative chocolate made using the best
ingredients; always with a liberal dose of love and care.
Our truffles are unique in design: with a slightly firm centre,
and good snappy chocolate shell. They are all individually
hand finished, and we take great pride in the fantastic flavour
combinations we have put together.
Sold in cases weighing approximately 1.2kg, and priced per kilo.

shop owners to find the perfect cooking chocolate but now you
need look no further. For example we all know the key to a perfect
brownie is the chocolate used and using Montezuma’s will result in

We have teamed up with Hogs Back Brewery in Tongham, Surrey, award-winning brewers of
the famous T.E.A., to develop a chocolate lager. It’s so good it’s already won an award!

Having had our own chocolate shops for 15 years, we would like to think we can help you
sell the magical dark stuff. Speak to us if you would like the ‘which when and why’ advice
on our range. We are confident that we can help you avoid the pitfalls.

“Trading Fairly” means much more to us than ensuring our products
come from sources where growers get a fair price.
Our policy means we won’t ever deal with any business that cannot
uphold similar standards to ours, both at home and overseas.
Our organic cocoa either comes from a co-operative of over 9,000 small
plantations in the Dominican Republic or from a small number of similar
but smaller co-ops
in someyou
fabulous locations such as Papua New Guinea
helping
and Ecuador to name a few. These co-ops have a strong social structure
that re-invests into the local society and infrastructure in a way that makes
their cocoa based agriculture sustainable, equitable and indeed profitable.
Our partners get a price for their cocoa significantly above the open
market price for cocoa and indeed a price above the price paid for
“Fairtrade” cocoa.

handsomely for that privilege while the vast majority of Fairtrade cocoa,
which although worthy, is not of an acceptable quality for us.

Product Care
Please remember that chocolate will not tolerate excessive heat, cold or humidity. Be
especially careful storing chocolate in the fridge. This can cause two problems; firstly most
fridges do not de-humidify and therefore a significant amount of humidity is introduced
and secondly, when moving the chocolate into a warm room condensation can form
causing sugar bloom.
Prices & RRP
We provide a RRP for your guidance only. In some cases we have provided a range where
we know for certain existing customers successfully sell at different prices. Because we
have considerable experience retailing our own products we are confident that in most
cases our products have a good price elasticity.
Montezuma’s Wholesale Partners
We work with some fabulous Wholesalers at Montezuma’s who we just love to shout about and
we always try to encourage our customers to buy our products through them as you may be using
one already! With low minimums, quick delivery times and lots of fantastic food available as well as
Montezuma’s Chocolates they might be the perfect way of getting Montezuma’s onto your shelves!
Many of our wonderful wholesalers have very low lead times, usually within 1-3 days, so you can get
Montezuma’s products on your shelves as quickly as possible!

From small things like re-using our cardboard outer boxes, having
movement sensor lighting, night time deliveries or even reducing
aluminium in our bar packaging to larger projects involving having
computer controlled cooling systems.
More tangibly, every little project can make a big difference.
Recycling cardboard outers up to 8 times saves over 8,000kg of
cardboard per year: that means almost 44 trees saved, 35,000kWh
saved, 15,000 litres of oil and a 70% air pollution saving.
Now just picture 44 trees in your garden!
There is no escaping that chocolate comes from somewhere a long way
south and uses energy to get it here, but don’t forget those packaging
miles. It is estimated that about 30% of total ‘food miles’ can be
attributed to the packaging.
