Sep-Oct - Uttermost Evangelism
Volume 4, Issue 5
September/October 2015
In September the Lord allowed us to conduct the most creative and cutting edge evangelistic outreach we
have ever been a part of. A year ago a friend of mine in Romania told me about a well-known secular music
group in Romania called Proconsul, that had several members who had been saved. We contacted the group
and began dialoging with them about partnering with Uttermost Evangelism to hold an evangelistic
outreach in one of the largest cities in Romania. We rented the Dramatic Theater in downtown Brasov,
where all the professional concerts and cultural events are held. We promoted the special event with
posters, hand-outs, and on secular radio stations. The event was free to the public but people had to reserve
the number of seats they needed. The Lord blessed us with a large predominately secular crowd that
enjoyed great professional music and testimonies from the
lead group members. During the evening I shared the
gospel and challenged those present to place a personal
faith in Jesus Christ. We ended the evening by distributing
copies of my Salvation book in the Romanian language to
everyone in attendance along with invitations to join us and
Proconsul for church the next morning. A ministry friend
of mine in Brasov said this event was probably the largest
outreach to lost people ever attempted in Brasov. We thank
the Lord for blessing the ministry event and drawing people
to Himself for salvation.

Two Decades of Ministry in Romania
In 1995 I traveled to Romania on
my first international mission
trip. I preached in a small church
that was meeting in a house in a
residential neighborhood in
Brasov, Romania. The next year I
returned to Romania and again
preached at Speranta Baptist
Church Brasov. The church
family and our mission team
members traveled to an empty lot
at one of the major intersections
entering the city and prayed that
the Lord would allow the church
to build on that property. In 1997
our family moved to Romania as
full-time missionaries, and I
watched as the Lord and the
members of Speranta worked
tirelessly to build a large,
beautiful church facility on that
property. I was one of the first
people to preach in the newly
completed sanctuary. The
current associate pastor was a
young unmarried member who
translated for me. The present
pastor of Speranta was a youth in
the church youth group when I
first ministered there. It was
such a blessing while we were in
Romania last month to conduct
an evangelistic outreach in
Speranta Church with these
brothers in Christ who have
matured into great men of God.
The Lord is truly allowing us to
reap spiritual fruit from decades
of continuous ministry and
relationship building in
Romania.
