Nicole Gates
Sandy has been working in the
Contact Center since September,
2005. She always serves her
customers in a courteous and
professional manner. With the
same dedication Sandy gives to her
position in the Contact Center, she
also extends those efforts in other
departments as well. She has assisted
in our training department as a “Big
Buddy”, giving new associates
the benefit of her experience and
knowledge. Sandy has also returned
“by request” to departments outside
of our department where her
organizational skills and reliability
are a positive reflection of what
a great employee she is of the
company.
Sandy set a personal goal for her
job performance this year, and by
maintaining a top 10% ranking 7 out
of 12 months, she is anticipating a
preferred schedule for the next year.
Sandy and her husband live in
Springfield with their son and
daughter. They moved here from
Carson City, NV where she worked
as an elementary school teacher’s
aide for handicapped children.
Brian Bennett has been with
Bass Pro since April of ’06.
He started out as a phone
agent taking customer orders
and helping them with any
questions or concerns that they
may have had. Brian showed
that he had a vast knowledge of
the products and the company
and is currently working as a
resource coordinator helper
in which he helps the phone
agents with more difficult
inquiries and takes calls from
customers that may have
more advanced questions or
problems with their orders,
products, etc. Brian always
comes to work with a very
positive and friendly attitude.
He has a very good attendance
record and is extremely easy
to get along with.
Nicole started working for BPS
on 4/18/2007 as a Special Projects
Coordinator. She immediately started
making her mark on the company by
changing out dated reporting and creating new methods to account for and
charge out expenses.
One of her primary responsibilities is
to work with the shipping carriers, and
monitor their service levels. So far she
has requested and received reimbursement for BPS of over $26,000 due to
carrier service failures and over charges!
Nicole is a role model for all
employees for the following reason:
 She has a passion for doing the job
right.
 Accepts responsibility and completion of assignments.
 Very dependable and always punctual. Near perfect attendance.
 Eager to learn new things and is
excited about change.
Nicole runs and reviews numerous
reports for all areas of Direct marketing.
She also works closely with other areas
regarding their shipping charges and
provides reports to them as needed. She
is a self starter who is able to work with
minimal supervision.
Overall, a great asset to the company in
general and our department especially!

1 14 oz. can chicken broth
1 14 oz. can dice tomatoes

Bits & Pieces
Quick Hands-On Stress Relief
Got a minute? These moves can help relieve tension around your head, neck, shoulders and hands:
The scalp soother.
Place thumbs behind your ears and spread your fingers on top of
your head. Move your scalp back and forth slightly by making circles with your fingertips for 15-20 seconds.
The eye easer.
Close your eyes and place your ring fingers directly under your eyebrows,
near the bridge of your nose. Slowly increase pressure for five seconds, then gently release. Repeat 2-3 times.
The shoulder saver.
Place your left hand on the right side of your neck by your
shoulder. Press fingers firmly into the muscle while tucking your chin in toward your chest. Hold this position for
10 seconds, release, and then repeat on the left side.
The palm pleaser.
Lace your fingers together, leaving thumbs free. Slowly knead your
left thumb into the palm of your right hand for 20-30 seconds. Then repeat on your left hand.
This & That
“Learn to embrace change, and you’ll begin to recognize that life is in constant motion, and
every change happens for a reason. When you see boundaries as opportunities, the world
becomes a limitless place, and your life becomes a journey of change that always finds its
way.”
“Our lives are not determined by what happens to us, but by how we react to what happens;
not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude causes
a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events and outcomes. It is a catalyst...a spark that
creates extraordinary results.”
