Solid wood: Mainly used for packaging, furniture
and building construction

The wood fiber: Especially for insulation and
soundproofing of buildings or manufacture of
plastic or wood cement (composite material)

Wood chemistry: emerging industry, marketing
including new glues and resins (non-toxic), the
treatment of wood preservative to improve the
durability and appearance of the material.
Application in textiles and food.

Wood energy: Development of wood as fuel is
the ultimate resource use. Known as biofuels
and biocombustion.
