Military work is risky, pressured,
and fast-changing. It calls for
seemingly contradictory
capabilities: absolute clarity
about the mission at a high level,
extraordinary adaptability on
the ground, to be responsive and
creative, to be fast learners,
comfortable with error and
ambiguity.
These are the same skills that
companies today need to prevail
in a climate of intense economic
uncertainty.

Articulating the nature of the volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity in
your industry, sector or business. Many organisation struggle to orientate
themselves to a newly disrupted environment. To use a geographic analogy,
where before they developed strategy and capability to operate in the jungle,
they now find themselves in a desert.
