The funds raised at this event will directly benefit disadvantaged children who need heart surgery and have no access to treatment in their home countries. Since its inception in 2000, the HeartGift Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has helped save the lives of over 195 children from 28 countries. These children are born with congenital heart defects, the number one birth defect in the world. Unfortunately, they live in countries where medical treatment is scarce or nonexistent. Cardiac care is not available in 93% of the world today. Once accepted into our program, a child and guardian travel to one of our chapter cities, where they will be cared for by a host family. The pediatric cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, pediatric dentists, other medical personnel and countless volunteers all donate their time and expertise, reducing medical costs to roughly 20%, to save the child’s life. In the developing world, children born with heart disease rarely find treatment and typically go undiagnosed. Many never live to see their first birthday. Those that do, face a shortened life filled with chronic pain, stunted growth, difficulty breathing and the need for constant care. The lack of treatment results in the death of thousands of children each year. The HeartGift Foundation is working hard to provide a life for these children who have no other hope for a future. HeartGift is making a genuine difference. For our patients it’s the difference between a long life or an early death. For their parents, it is the difference between a life at home caring for a seriously ill child or the ability to work and help support their family. For our volunteers here at home, it is the opportunity to participate in a life-‐giving miracle and an experience that remains with them for the rest of their lives. All proceeds will benefit the HeartGift Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN: 74-‐
2967809). With the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our volunteer medical providers, 94% of all HeartGift outlay in 2012 went to patient program services. We offer a sincere thank you for your support and for joining us tonight to ensure that many more children receive the gift of life. We hope you have a wonderful evening! Very truly, Janelle, Suzie & Mandy Auction Chairs 1

It's hard not to drink it now.” Rated 100 Wine Spectator $2,850 Estimated Value: LOT # 29 Thomas & Carol Braun -‐ Houston, Texas 1994 Dominus Estate Napa Valley 1 Double Magnum (3 liters) “Strikingly thick, compellingly rich wine with the texture of a great Pomerol, despite being made primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine exhibits a dense purple color, and an incredibly fragrant nose of jammy black fruits, spice, smoke, and loamy, truffle-‐like scents. This seamless Dominus possesses no hard edges, as its acidity, tannin, and alcohol are beautifully meshed with copious quantities of ripe fruit. This wine offers early drinking, yet has the potential to last for 30+ years.” Rated 99 Robert Parker “Saturated deep red-‐ruby. Knockout nose combines currant, Cuban tobacco, earth, tar, bacon fat, cedar, leather and game; conveys an impression of totally ripe, almost roasted fruit. Lush and sweet; already offers extraordinary inner-‐mouth flavor and great depth. Finishes with great velvety texture and magical persistence. Mouthdusting, building tannins coat the entire palate.” Rated 97 Stephen Tanzer Estimated Value: $2,100 30

Since its inception in 2000, the HeartGift Foundation has helped save the lives of over 195 children from 28 countries. HeartGift is making a genuine difference: •
For our patients, it’s the difference between a long life or an early death. •
For their parents, it is the difference between a life at home caring for a seriously ill child or the ability to work and help support their family. •
For our volunteers, here at home, it is the opportunity to participate in a life-‐
giving miracle and an experience that remains with them for the rest of their lives. With the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our volunteer medical providers, 94% of all HeartGift outlay in 2012 went to patient program services. 1/2 Bottle or Split: .375 liters This designation refers to a small bottle that holds .375 milliliters of wine, one-‐half as much as a standard bottle. Bottle: .750 liters This designation refers to the standard size bottle that holds .750 milliliters (ml) of wine or 4/5 quart. This size bottle, regardless of whether it has a straight or sloping neck, is used for red, white, rose and sparkling wines. Sparkling wine bottles appear to be larger than standard because they are made of thicket glass to with-‐stand the pressures of carbonation, but the bottles also hold .750 liters of wine. Magnum: 1.5 liters This designation refers to a bottle that holds 1.5 liters of wine, the equivalent of two regular .750 liters bottles. Sparkling wines are some-‐times fermented in magnums because this method is believed to lengthen the wine’s life. Double Magnum: 3.0 liters This designation refers to an oversized bottle that holds 3.0 liters of wine, the equivalent of four regular .750 liters bottles. Jeroboam: 3.0 liters An oversized wine bottle used in the fine wine regions of France. The Jeroboam of Bordeaux has the capacity of six ordinary bottles, in French Champagne district a Jeroboam is equivalent to four regular bottles. No Champagnes are ever aged in Jeroboams, however; they are decanted from smaller bottles following the process of degorgement.
