Group A Group B Who do you think will win the gold medal? 3 2 11 World Junior Championship Follow Along With The Standings The 10 teams competing at the 2015 WJC are divided into two, five-team groups in the Preliminary round. After a single roundrobin series in each group, the top four teams from each group advance to the Playoff Round. They will play a cross-over Quarterfinal game. The winner of each Quarterfinal moves onto the Semi-finals. The winner of each Semi-final game will move onto the Gold Medal Game, while the defeated teams will play the Bronze Medal Game. 10 World Junior Championship Where In The World? Hockey players use statistics everyday to follow their own performance and also to see how their opponents are performing. Glossary of Hockey Terms Statistics for forwards and defensemen: GP: Games played G: Goals A: Assists PTS: Points PPG: Points per game GWG: Game-winning goals PPG: Power-play goals (scoring when the other team has a penalty) SHG: Short-handed goals (scoring when your own team has a penalty) Plus-minus: +/If you’re on the ice when your team scores an even-strength goal whether you get a point or not - you get a +1.
