Rai in Jordan
Patriarch Bechara
Boutros Rai arrived
Thursday night at
Jordan, in the 4- day
formal and pastoral
visit,
under
the
theme of communion
and love. He met King Abdallah II, in addition to officials and members of the Maronite community. The patriarch visited first St Charbel Church and center in Amman, and was welcomed with the popular Jordanian Dabké. Then,
Rai asked God, during the prayer for peace in the Middle East, to inspire the officials to proceed to dialogue and agreement, praising the
wisdom of King Abdallah II who knew how to advance with new and firm steps.
The Pope
Chooses Rai a
Member of the
Middle East
Council of
Churches
Pope
Benedict
chose the Maronite Patriarch of Antioch and all
East Patriarch Bechara Boutros Rai to be with the
Archbishop of Milan Cardinal Angelo Scola, the
Prefect of the Congregation for Bishop Cardinal Marc
Ouellet, Paris Archbishop André Vingt- Trois, and
the Archbishop of Munich and Freising in Germany
Reinhard Marx, the five members of the Middle East
Council of Churches.
The Woman, Teacher and Alphabet, the Pride of Generations
From Jbeil, the character began and wrote the history of the world, boosted its
culture, and became what it is today, so the alphabet is our pride and helps us to
succeed in the field of innovations and generous achievements. March 8 is the
Day of Alphabet to which the teacher has been always loyal to transmit it to generations through his sublime educational mission that is the base of success in
society, so he deserves reverence and honor not only in March 9 but everyday
and forever.
As for woman, according to Pope John-Paul II, when everybody is in distress
she remains strong, gives without measure. So we send her the best greetings on
the International Women’s Day for she is the mother, the sister, the wife brilliant
in all fields, strong in all circumstances, the gift of God, she’s always ready with
her sweet presence to heal the wounds of humanity and seek its salvation.
30 years of Giving at St Thomas
Chaldean Diocese, USA
The Chaldean Church celebrated the
30th memory of the Episcopal ordination of
Bishop Ibrahim Ibrahim, the shepherd
of St Thomas Chaldean diocese- Detroit, and the foundation of this diocese
that is the first of Chaldeans in USA, in
the attendance of religious and popular
figures. During the ceremony, Bishop
Ibrahim delivered a speech thanking God,
the priests, nuns in the parish and the parishioners, added that “the human person
and whatever was his position should be characterized by humbleness,
self-denial at the service of people” and finally confirming “that he’ll always consider his love for the Church and the diocese in the 1st place.”

God Is Love!
We make decisions but we can’t carry
them out. Jesus knows our weakness and
our will that sees the goodness but makes
evil deeds. But the Lord is loyal and loves
as much as he is loyal. So, when Peter
denied the Lord, Jesus gave him a tender
look after His Resurrection and asked him: Do you love me? Jesus didn’t
consider the “ego” of Peter but the love in his heart. God is loyal, won’t
leave you and he is always ready to renew the covenant and have back His
children. New episode: “He looked at him and loved him” with Fr.
Marwan Khoury and Therese el-Hajj.

Like Paul who collected
donations to the Corinth’s population during
the calamity of Jerusalem
and in order to help the
children of the Church,
we make endeavors to
call the believers through
the TV station and the council of patriarchs to collect aids
for the prejudiced Syrians.
If we renounce evangelization, who will
spread the Word? It is the light and without it the world falls in darkness. It is the
living water and without it, the world feels
thirsty. It is the nutrition and without it,
the world gets hungry and ends up like
monsters in the forests.
- Activate the process of evangelization through spreading and
living it
- Join a spiritual community to be
the school of your life
- Participate in missions to perform your role in the Church
When the Word of God brought life and
hope to all people, offered saints sowing the
seeds of joy and hope everywhere and drew
all attention; when the history made their
memory immortal, the question remained:
How do we maintain this precious heritage?
How do we spread it and transmit it to the
world? The answer was: a TV station, the most effective
means for our cause, so endeavors continued and thus Tele
Lumiere saw the light.
Three Encyclicals on
Lebanon’s tragedy by
Pope John-Paul II (May
1st 1984)
At that time, the Pope addressed
them to the Patriarch Cardinal Antonios Khreich, all
Lebanese people and the bishops of the Catholic Church all over the world, in solidarity with the
Lebanese people that he considers a precious cultural value. He
called the Lebanese in general and the Christians in particular to
commit to hope, love, forgiveness and mercy and urges the prayer for
the Christians in Lebanon, encouraging them to be brave and believe in the future.
Patriarch of the Assyrian
Church of the East Elia II
Ebn al-Makli (1111- 1131)
The Prodigal Son
This icon depicts the encounter of the
prodigal hungry and needy son with the
tender, tolerant and merciful Father, it
is the hug of the frustrated and repentant human person with the loving and
merciful waiting God. The father symbolizes God the loving Father and the
son represents the human person tending to make evil.
He was a virtuous and brilliant
sheikh, he judges with truth and
justice between the strong and
weak, the rich and poor. He ordained new bishops and moved others from their dioceses according
to the Church’s interest.
