AOM-2 usually contains systems diagrams and explanations and flight maneuver pictorials and
explanations.
An example can be found in the Ryan manuals for the 757 and 767. There is a CPM ( Cockpit
Procedures Manual), AOM-1, and AOM-2. This splitting of the master AOM is designed to reduce cockpit
clutter and ease finding additional information by having the minimum necessary manual immediately
accessible to the pilot.
We can split the CASA manual like this. It would be much easier to do that now and then we would not
have to re-write FOTM-3. References can be made now to AOM-1 and AOM-2. This manual may be
small enough that splitting is not necessary, however the next aircraft types will benefit from this and it
would be good to standardize. It should not add to our manual creation time as we are only creating two
parts of one approved manual.]
