and Evening Receptions, you can rest assured that every effort will be made to

The Burntwood Court Hotel
The Burntwood Court Hotel is a modern complex, with all the latest facilities.
It is set in 35 acres of landscaped grounds, which make a perfect setting for those
all important photographs. Our staff have many years experience in dealing with
Wedding Breakfasts and Evening Receptions and you can rest assured that every
effort will be made by them to ensure that your day runs perfectly.
The Houghton/Brierley Room
The Houghton Room is part of the main banqueting suite and can accommodate
a minimum of 50 guests to a maximum of 90 guests for a Wedding Breakfast.
The Brierley Room can accommodate a minimum of 90 guests to a maximum of
280 guests for a Wedding Breakfast. They offer the use of a private bar, access to
the conservatory and landscaped gardens, which are deal for those special
photographs. Reception drinks can be served in the conservatory or gardens.
It is ideally suited for the Evening Reception, where a dance floor, disco and
stage for live entertainment (if required) can be provided. The Hotel only
caters for one wedding each day.

The Woodlands Restaurant
The Woodlands Restaurant is an intimate, split-level, modern dining room,
which is ideally suited for the smaller Wedding Breakfast. It caters for a
minimum of 25 guests and up to a maximum of 90 guests but is only available
for daytime weddings, Monday - Thursday.
Qube Restaurant
The Qube Restaurant is located upstairs in the adjacent building.
This restaurant is modern with an intimate atmosphere. The room is ideally
suited for a minimum of 50 guests for a Wedding Breakfast to a maximum
of 100 guests. The Qube only caters for one wedding each day.

Wedding accommodation
Burntwood Court Hotel has 43 en-suite bedrooms, including a bridal suite and
2 family rooms. As part of the full wedding package the Bride and Groom are
offered the bridal suite with full English breakfast subject to availability. We would
recommend that guests book as early as possible to avoid disappointment as all
rooms are subject to availability. Arrival/Departure
The bedroom accommodation is available from 2.00 p.m. on the day of arrival
and we ask that they are vacated by 11.00 a.m. on the day of departure, unless
alternative arrangements have been agreed.
Please note : the full wedding package offered is based on Burntwood Court Hotel providing catering for a minimum of 50 guests for
the day and a minimum of 100 guests for the evening.

Burntwood Court Hotel is licensed for the purpose of conducting
Civil Marriage Ceremonies, providing the complete service.
Room hire charge (see price list for details) apply for Civil Marriage
Ceremonies held at Burntwood Court Hotel to cover ‘Approved
Premises’ license costs.
The Hotel does not accept responsibility for the availability of
a Registrar.
The Terms and Conditions imposed by the Registrars Office are
separate to those of the Hotel, and as such the Hotel cannot accept
any liability for the services that they provide.
It is not possible to hold a Civil Wedding Ceremony at Burntwood
Court Hotel unless it is followed by a reception as outlined in the
Wedding Brochure.

Booking terms & conditions
Having had the opportunity of viewing the facilities we have to offer and
speaking with our experienced staff, if you wish to make a reservation at the
Burntwood Court Hotel, the following steps are to be followed:
Make an appointment to see our Wedding Coordinator so that she can discuss your requirements in detail before you make a
provisional booking. Once you have seen the Wedding Coordinator a provisional booking can be made, which is then held for
14 days without obligation. To finalise the booking we ask that you complete The Wedding Reception Booking Form and pay a
non-refundable deposit of £500.00 which must be received by The Hotel within the 14 days provisional booking period
otherwise the date becomes available to other clients.
Second Payment - A further payment of £1000.00 is the due no later than six months prior to your Wedding date. At your
Final Meeting a pro-forma invoice will be issued and the payment of the balance of monies due should be received no later than
14 days prior to the event. Once the full balance has been paid please note no refunds or transfers can be actioned. Minimum
numbers will be charged for, even if the final numbers fall below them.
The Wedding Reception Booking Form
At the time of paying the deposit, please complete and return the Wedding Reception Booking Form duly signed. We appreciate
that it may not be possible to be totally accurate at this stage and we would discuss final numbers and menus six weeks prior at
your final meeting. Minimum numbers must be adhered to.
CANCELLATION
If you decide to cancel a confirmed Wedding booking the following

The notice of the cancellation or postponement must be in writing and addressed to :- The Hotel at Burntwood Court, Common Road, Brierley, Barnsley S72 9ET
The Hotel will acknowledge the cancellation or postponement in writing within 5 working days.
The booked facilities will NOT be deemed to be available for resale until this acknowledgement has been issued by The Hotel.
The date of this issue will be the Effective Date of Cancellation
The following Charges will apply by reference to the Effective Date of Cancellation and The Confirmed Wedding Date on the Wedding Reception Booking Form :If the cancellation is more than 6 months from the Confirmed Date – Loss of Deposit (£500).
If the cancellation is less than 6 months but more than 30 days from the Confirmed Date – 50% of the Estimated Total Cost
of the Wedding
If the Cancellation is less than 30 days from the Confirmed Date – 100% of the Estimated Total Cost of the Wedding.
NOTE: - The Estimated Total Cost of the Wedding will be based on
the information and numbers given by the client and recorded on the
Wedding Reception Booking Form.
POSTPONEMENTS
Any change of dates requested less than 12 months prior to the Wedding
date will be treated as a cancellation and so the same charges will apply.
CANCELLATION BY BURNTWOOD COURT HOTEL
Burntwood Court Hotel reserves the right to cancel any bookings,
without any liability on its part in the event of fires, strikes, by order of
any public authority or any other cause beyond the control of The Hotel.
BURNTWOOD COURT HOTEL LIABILITIES
• The Hotel reserves the right to alter prices or menu contents shown on tariffs without notice.
• Burntwood Court Hotel reserves the right to approve any externally arranged entertainment, services or activities you have arranged. We cannot accept liability for any resultant cost.

The Hotel is not responsible for any damage or loss to your belongings either prior to the beginning of the function, during or after the event.
The Hotel reserves the right to relocate the function to suit the final numbers concerned. There should be a minimum number otherwise a supplementary charge will be made.
The Hotel cannot accept responsibility for any delays caused by photographers etc.
YOUR UNDERTAKING
Whilst you are staying in Burntwood Court Hotel please ensure that
both your guests and you will:
• Comply with all licensing, health and safety regulations of the hotel.
• Not bring any food, drink, including alcohol for consumption during the period of your booking.
• Not act in any improper or disorderly manner,leave promptly at the appropriate time and comply with any reasonable request
by the Hotel management.
• Not carry out mechanical or electrical work, including amplification or lighting without our prior written consent.
• Ensure that any band or musician employed by you complies with statutory requirements and the requirements of the management.
• Be liable for any costs and repairs carried out as a result of any damage caused to any part of the premises or equipment caused by the negligence, wilful act or default of any persons invited by you or on your behalf.
MISCELLANEOUS
The provision of discotheques may only be undertaken by the
management of The Hotel. Live bands, cabaret etc. may be provided by
the organiser with the approval of The Hotel management. Fixing signs,
displays and posters within The Hotelmay only be carried out with The
Hotel’s permission. Additional charges will be made for the hire of:
Disco, Stage, Microphone, TV & Video. The hotel bar will close to
ALL guests at 1.00am.
