 For Immediate Release JURASSIC 5 ANNOUNCE SUMMER TOUR U.S. Tour Dates in July, European Tour Dates in August and September; Tickets On Sale Now The Band Sold Out Their Record Store Day ‘Quality Control’ Re-­‐Release Deluxe "Wood Box" In One Day Los Angeles, CA, June 2, 2015 — Straight on the heels of touring Australia, New Zealand and Japan, Los Angeles hip-­‐hop group Jurassic 5 announce that they will set out on a headlining summer tour, hitting eight cities and performing nine shows throughout the U.S., before they head to Europe. The tour will start on Wednesday, July 8, at Humphrey’s Concerts by the Bay in San Diego, CA, and will wrap up on July 20 at Belly Up in Aspen, CO. Tickets are available now. In addition to the tour, J5's renaissance continues with selling out their limited-­‐edition Record Store Day re-­‐release Quality Control box set, in partnership with Get On Down. Jurassic 5's first release, the Jurassic 5 EP (1998), solidified them as a force to be reckoned with within the genre with hit tracks like "Concrete Schoolyard" and "Jayou." Two years later, J5 dropped Quality Control, which peaked at #43 on Billboard, achieved gold status, and introduced the group to the masses worldwide. Tracks like "Quality Control," "Jurass Finish First," and "Swing Set" became the group's signature sound. (more) Power In Numbers spawned the smash hits "Day at the Races," featuring Big Daddy Kane, and "What's Golden," which led the band to their first late-­‐night television performances on Conan O'Brien and David Letterman. In 2006, the group released Feedback (distributed and released worldwide via Interscope), which saw them hit #15 on the Billboard Top 200 during release week before amicably separating the following year. In 2013, the band reunited for Coachella, and then embarked on a yearlong string of sold-­‐out concerts and festivals in Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. In 2014, the band announced its 20th Anniversary "Word Of Mouth Reunion Tour," which appropriately ignited the next chapter of Jurassic 5's legacy.
