This summer we are doing something different with Sunday school. We have created opportunities for every member, visitor and friend to become a Life Long
Learner. Each week you will have the option to choose from a variety of classes
designed just for you. Each week the classes are designed to stand alone, so
don’t worry about being away on a Sunday and feeling like you are behind. You
can even chose to visit a different class each week. Just come and be receptive
to learning God’s Word!

Administrative Committee Leaders
July 7, 14, 21, 28 and August 4
The mandate for the church is contained in the Great Commission.
How are we to do the work of the Great Commission in an age of
Great Confusion? We must rise above it and take the church to the
next level.
There is not a signup sheet, as we need your commitment not your name!
Join us this summer as we prepare to set sail!

On Father's Day, June 16, 2013, Payton Nevaeh Offord and Kahlil Corey Jones were baptized. Payton is the daughter of Monique Powell and Dominic Offord. Kahlil is the son of Deleal and Keith
Jones. Payton and Kahlil are the grandchildren of our neighborhood friend, Sheila Offord. Ife Harris, Jeraka and Gerald Brown attended exploring membership class on Sat., June 15,2013. They will
be read into full membership on Sunday, July 7,2013. The next exploring membership class is
scheduled for Saturday, September 21,2013 at 10:00 a.m.
Church Bulletin Board
There is a new bulletin board located in the church narthex. The Altar Flower Donation Sign-up
Calendar can now be found there. This bulletin board is for church and community events & news.
Everything posted on the bulletin board must be approved by the church office, no exceptions. If
something is posted without approval, it will be taken down. Please contact the church office if you
have any questions or to get something posted. Thank you.
Book Club
The book club will not meet any more until the third Saturday in September at 12 noon. We will be
reading the following books this summer: "The Warmth of Other Suns" by Isabel Wilkerson
and Calvin Alston's book "Days of My Youth in Baltimore the Early Years" for discussion.
Have a great summer of reading. Remember to spread the word about our book club. Betty Ballard
and Rosalyn Harris will be selecting books for November and January.
Bull and Oyster Roast “Blast from the Past”
The church will host a Bull and Oyster Roast on Friday, September 20, 2013 from 8:00 p.m.-12:00
midnight at the Forum Caterers. Tickets are $55.00 and are available now. Please plan to attend
and have a great time and bring your friends. We will have a full bull and oyster roast menu, contests, door prizes and a silent auction. We will need each member to support this activity. Mark
your calendars.
Membership Form Correction
Unfortunately, some of the forms our members received did not have a back page/side. If you completed a one-sided form, there is another side the church needs you to complete. The proper forms
are now in the narthex. We regret the error, and thank you for your time filling out the rest of the
form. Please contact the church office with any questions or concerns. Thank you.
Step Up to the Plate
“Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over,
will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.”-Luke
6:38 Please remember our efforts toward financially supporting our Restoration Plan. The Church
has many repairs to make and any donation is appreciated and gets us that much closer to our goal.
Thank you for your support.
Summer Excessive Heat Policy
Should the temperature in Baltimore reach above 100 degrees the church office will be closed. Once
the office is closed, all activities scheduled for that day or evening will be cancelled. If you are in
doubt about a specific activity, please contact the leader for that activity.
Should the temperature be expected to reach above 100 degrees on a Sunday morning, every effort
will be made to have worship. Decisions regarding Sunday morning worship will be recorded on the
church voice mail by 8:00am. Should potential inclement weather of any kind affect church scheduled activities, the church voice mail will be updated as soon as possible. Please listen to the voice
mail in its entirety.
