Through this method, we are also able to guarantee a high level of precision which is absolutely critical for this part of the tube. Through the versatility of the induction hardening process, as shown below, end-users can considerably reduce installation time and welding costs, thus guaranteeing fewer defects on the tubes. Other solutions The ABRASERVICE division of IMS S.p.A. can offer elbow sections with a special internal abrasion resistant coating (60 HRC hard-facing material). Curve tradizionali Curve NASPipe realizzati per induzione Flanges All our tubes can be supplied either as fixed flange or with special pipe fittings (Victaulic or Dresser), available upon request. Special components It is possible to manufacture a number of special parts using our abrasion-resistant tubes: - joints with longitudinal extensions - Y-fittings - Pipe fittings - Inspection tubes - etc… 10 GROUP GROUP Abrasionresistant tubes Putzmeister pump arm, height: 36 m Index Foto 4 Abrasion-resistant tubes page 3 NASPipe tubes page 5 ABRATUBE 400 tubes page 7 Roll formed and welded CREUSABRO® tubes page 7 Tubes for concrete pumps page 8 Accessories page 10 Putzmeister pump arm, different models 9 2 GROUP GROUP TUBES for concrete pumps Abrasionresistant tubes The ABRASERVICE Division of IMS S.p.A. offers a wide range Coal mining • Coal handling • Pulp handling • General materials handling of abrasionresistant tubes Available in: ABRATUBE 400 (from 6 m length) Ø nom. 4” Ø ext. 108 mm. x 4,5 mm Ø nom. 5” Ø ext. 133 mm x 4,7 mm NASPipe (from 6 m length) Ø nom. 4” Ø ext. 108 mm. x 3,6 mm Ø nom. 5” Ø ext. 133 mm x 4,7 mm replying to all your Fittings: needs. Mines • Pure mineral and sterile handling • General materials handling 3 Ø 100 Ø 125 These 400 HB steel flanges can solve welding problems and give the same abrasion resistance as the tube itself. 8 GROUP GROUP ABRATUBE 400 tube Applications The main advantage of this tube is that while being highly abrasion resistant (minimum 360 HB), they are also very easy to install. The tube can be welded with basic electrodes, it is easy to work on them by attaching flanges, carrying out headto-head welding etc. Features Hardness: 3 6 0 / 4 0 0 H B (HRC 34 minimum) Rm: 1100-1400N/mm 2 Re: 800-1100N/mm 2 A5: minimo 10% Resistence to temperature: maximum 500°C Rolled and welded CREUSABRO ® TUBES Size range The ABRATUBE 400 seamless tube is produced through the extrusion process. Thanks to the flexibility of this process, we are able to supply to our clients a wide range of sizes between ø 70 and 219,1 mm, with a wall thickness ranging from 4,5 to 60 mm. We also supply tubes in standard lengths, as well as elbows and parts according to customer specifications. For larger diameter material than the ABRATUBE® 400 tubes, (P) we can offer® rolled and welded CREUSABRO 4800 or CREUSABRO 8000 steel tubes. Elbow sections are available (either pressed or segmented) according to the dimensions required. Size range The available size range of the tubes depends on thickness, diameter and material spcification. For more information, please contact us. 7 Cement plants • Pneumatic transport of cement to the storage silos • Clinker handling • General materials handling THE RIGHT CHOICE NASPipe Tube: Internal hardness of 600 HB obtained through induction. Life 5 times longer as compared to mild steel. Up to 12 metres long. Nominal diameter from approximately 90 to 500 mm. ABRATUBE 400 tube: Seamless extruded tubes with minimum hardness of 360 HB. Life 3 times longer as compared to mild steel. Extremely easy installation. Nominal diameter from approximately 70 to 220 mm. Dredging • Hydraulic transport of the mined materials • Pulp suction Rolled and welded tube: CREUSABRO ® 4800 ( P ) and CREUSABRO ® 8000 quality guarantee. Hardness according to the material brand specification. Complete manufacture by IMS S.p.A, ABRASERVICE division, from CREUSABRO® plates. The range includes large thicknesses and constitutes the ideal choice for diameters under 500 mm. Other applications • Wood chip • Cement • Cereals • Graphite powders for industrial electrodes Tube for concrete pumps: Available in 2 grades : 360 HB and 600 HB. Nominal diameter : 4” and 5”. Life 3 to 5 times longer than for mild steel. 4 GROUP GROUP NASPipe tubes NASPipe tubes The NASPipe tubes are manufactured on an automatic production line using induction hardening technology with the purpose of producing seamless steel tube with good abrasion resistant properties. The tube is slowly heated and then quickly cooled with water jets, thus acquiring its ability to resist the most severe cases of abrasion in the field of the pneumatic and hydraulic transport of inert materials. Compared to mild steel tubes, the NASPipe tubes represent an economical solution avoiding the necessity of frequent interventions on often inaccessible installations. As they can be up to 12 metres long, the NASPipe tubes also make it possible to avoid the use of generally expensive flanges. Their life expectancty is 5 times longer than mild steel tubes. The maximum operating temperature is 160 °C. ATTENTION The NFA article No. 49281 of December 1992 regulating tubular dimensions does not apply to NASPipe tubes or elbows, whose dimensions are regulated by specific criteria. BAINITE / FERRITE NASPipe fittings are also available (see page 8) FERRITE / PERLITE MAGNIFICATION X 200 MAGNIFICATION X 10 EXTERNAL WALL SECTION Size range Due to the highly precise heat treatment to which these tubes are subjected, they can obtain a relatively thick martensitic structure of 600 HB up to half of the wall thickness and a ferritic-pearlitic structure of about 300 HB for the rest of the wall. 5 As a result, the internal wall of NASPipe tubes has a very good abrasion resistance, while the outside retains a good level of toughness and weldability. The tubes will then present a monolithic structure making it easier to measure thickness using ultrasound technology.
