Organizations like The Cloud Foundation, Return to Freedom, The Humane Society, and countless other non-profit groups are no different. Breyer® is proud to support numerous equine welfare organizations, children’s charities and environmental protection groups through funds raised from the BreyerFest® Live Auctions, Silent Auction and both Breyer Raffles. Over the last 22 years, Breyer has donated over $850,000 thanks to the continued generosity of BreyerFest attendees participating in these auctions and raffles. We are pleased to support the following groups as BreyerFest Beneficiaries: Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (formerly NARHA) MID-ATLANTIC HORSE RESCUE For fifteen years, the Mid-Atlantic Horse Rescue has been rescuing ex-racing thoroughbreds at livestock auctions, evaluating them, and starting them in necareers. Mid-Atlantic Horse Rescue steps in after the limelight of racing has fallen on these mighty animals. The sad but true reality is that far too many thoroughbreds end up at auctions after their glory days have passed them by. Mid-Atlantic Horse Rescue has placed countless animals with loving families, many of which go on to successful careers in eventing, foxhunting, all-around showing, or the perfect pleasure horse. www.midatlantichorserescue.org Since 1969, PATH International has provided Equine Assisted Activity and Therapy (EAAT) programs in the United States and Canada through its network of nearly 800 member centers. Each year, dozens of new centers initiate new programs and more than 42,000 individuals with special needs benefit from activities which include therapeutic riding, hippotherapy, equine facilitated psychotherapy and learning, driving, interactive vaulting and competition. Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, PATH’s mission is to “change and enrich lives by promoting excellence in equine assisted activities.” To accomplish this mission, PATH fosters safe, professional, ethical and therapeutic equine activities through education, communication, research and standards. The association ensures its standards are met through an accreditation process for centers and a certification process for instructors. www.pathintl.org THE GRACE FOUNDATION (Saved by Grace) Founded in 2003 by Beth DeCaprio, The Grace Foundation of Northern California is an equine rescue and rehabilitation facility located in El Dorado Hills, CA. The Grace Foundation provides critical care and rehabilitation for abused and neglected horses and utilizes rescued horses for equine assisted learning and therapeutic programs for youth and children. Their purpose is to protect, care for, and heal these two important groups - children and abused/neglected animals. The rescued and rehabilitated horses were soon given a job in the equine facilitated therapy programs. These programs include activities that help children develop life skills including leadership, problem solving, creative thinking, responsibility, teamwork, assertiveness, communication, and relationship building. www.thegracefoundationofnorcal.org PEOPLE HELPING HORSES People Helping Horses (PHH), located just north of Seattle, WA, is a locally-based, nationally recognized organization dedicated to improving human-horse relationships through education, rehabilitation, and support for both horse-owners and professionals. As the equine community leaders, People Helping Horses brings caring people together to focus on the most important equestrian needs in the local area and mobilize resources beyond the dollars that are pledged through fund-raising. By working with the animals on a number of levels, abused and neglected horses are brought back into training. Since opening their doors in 2002, People Helping Horses has successfully rehabilitated and placed 100 horses into their forever homes. www.peoplehelpinghorses.org TM Your raffle and live and silent auction purchases help to support equestrian organizations in need!
