CALORIE COUNT II - Answers
Have the youth work on this individually or in pairs. Whoever has the most correct is the winner. If
there is a tie, the tying person or pair to finish first is the winner.
SALTED PEANUTS
Ask true/false questions from Salted Peanuts or similar trivia book. Team with the most correct
answers wins.
HIGHER OR LOWER OR RIGHT ON
Directions: Have everyone in the audience stand up. Everyone needs to pair up with someone else to
compete against. Before any question is read, each pair chooses which of the two of them will answer
it. When the question/statement is read the person who is supposed to answer gives the number he
thinks is closest to correct. The partner should then reply, “Higher” (if he thinks the correct answer is
higher), or “Lower” (if he thinks the correct answer is lower), or “Right on” (if he thinks the number
given is exactly right).
If the answer is right on (and the number guessed was correct) then neither player gets a strike against
them. If the answer wasn’t right on, the person who said, “Right on” gets a strike and the number
guesser does not.
If the question was, for example, “How many states make up the United States?” and the first person
guesses “45,” the second person should say, “Higher.” If he does, then the person who said, “45” gets
a strike. If the second person says, “Lower” then they get the strike since there are 50 states.
After each question/statement, players must pair up with a new partner. Once a person gets three
strikes he must sit down. The last player standing is the winner.

AROUND THE WORLD
Here’s a great mixer for when you need to fill time before the start of an activity. Have everybody in
the audience divide into two equal teams, or play guys vs. girls. The person at the head of the line for
each team is the contestant for their team. When a question is asked, whoever answers first
(correctly) goes to the back of their team’s line and the other person is eliminated and must sit down.
The next people in line move up. Continue the process until one team is eliminated. Or, once one
side’s line gets a lot shorter than the other, send some players to the side and keep playing until there
is a single winner. (You may have to make line adjustments a few times in order to come up with a
single winner.) Most questions are ridiculously easy but there are a few harder questions thrown in
for fun.
