Camerata is born out of the encounter and fusion of very different musical styles such as flamenco, jazz, tango or
classical music. Its member´s professional experiences and diverse backgrounds helped them to create a very
personal sound, full of the complicity, energy and passion that so defines Flamenco music.
In 2004, Camerata Flamenco Project, formed by Pablo Suárez (piano), José Luis López (cello) y Ramiro Obedman
(flute /saxo) made its debut at the “Singapore Arts Festival”. Since then, Camerata has performed at major

Jazz Festival, Castilla y León´s Festival de las Artes, Palma de Mallorca´s Certámen de Jazz and Dublin´s I
International Flamenco Festival, amongst others.

Carrasco´s show performed in New York. In 2011 they recorded their second album “Entre Corrientes” and in
2012, their latest work, “Avant-Garde”, was first released at Madrid´s XXIX jazz festival. The album´s suggestive
title being the ensemble´s declaration of principles on Contemporary Flamenco.
2013 has seen them performed in Avignon, Bolonia and Madrid .
They have also been invited by choreographer Rafaela Carrasco to collaborate in her show “Con la música en otra
parte”, performed at the Jerez XVII Festival and Madrid´s Teatro Compac.
