Flamenco Quartet
In flamenco, as in jazz, improvisation is of the utmost performance. Musicians have
to talk a flamenco language that enables them to communicate with each other in
order for the magic known as “Duende” to appear. And this is “Cañizares Flamenco
Quartet”.

The concert’s repertoire is based on his “Cuerdas del Alma” flamenco album, especially arranged for Quartet. As Cañizares mentions in the album’s libretto, “symbolically speaking, we have strings in our soul like those of a musical instrument. We also
have experiences and desires that play those strings to produce sadness, hoy, illusion
or love…”
