Odintsovo Institute for the Humanities is a new institute of higher education situated in the environmentally clean town of Odintsovo westwards from
Moscow. Founded on the initiative of the locals,
Odintsovo Institute for the Humanities proves to be a
modern educational complex, which provides a lifelong process of education starting with the Gymnasium up to the Business school.
In 2008 the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev visited this educational complex and
said, ‘That is the best we have in Russia’.
This year the Institute celebrates its fifth anniversary,
the first serious stage in the history of any institution. And it keeps on moving forward, creating the
appropriate conditions for self-actualization of all
the students and rewarding them for their achievements.
Today Odintsovo institute for the Humanities includes nearly 3000 students, 133 graduates – 27 with
honours, more than 150 professors, 9 departments
with 20 subdepartments, 12 specializations, the Student Council, a volunteer movement, a drama-studio
“Wings”, an Internet-cafe “Nautilus”, 3 language laboratories, an imitative courtroom, a forensic laboratory, etc. Not too bad for the Institute, which exists
for 5 years only, isn’t it? And it is going to be much
better!
