On September 17, 2011 at 2pm, The Town Book Store in
Westfield will host a Meet & Greet with Kevin "Moon" Mullin,
author of Student Athletes, A Guide for the Future. Mr. Mullin

professional basketball in Europe. Playing for Hall of Fame
basketball coach Pete Carril at Princeton University, he was

tournament. In his book, Mr. Mullin shares his timeless and
universal lessons from his accomplished student athletic
career to help student athletes make good decisions and
charter their course for the future. He is a dynamic and gifted

Begins at the Rialto
The film series will open Sept. 20 with
a presentation of "A Bird of the Air,"
featuring a live question and answer
session afterwards with director
Margaret Whitton. The film, about a
sassy parrot and a free-spirited
librarian who upend the well-ordered
life of a solitary man, will be hosted
by Stephen Whitty, past chairman of
the New York Film Critics Circle.

Novel Romance," featuring an introduction by director Allie
Dvorin and a live Q & A with actor and comedian Steve

Working with Pedals for Progress, the Westfield Rotary Club is
collecting adult or child's bicycles in repairable condition. A
donation toward shipping costs is necessary (suggested
minimum $10 per bike). All cash and material donations are
fully tax deductible and a receipt will be available at the
collection site. Pedals for Progress collects 5,000 to 7,000
bicycles annually and transfers this material wealth to those
more needy. To date, more than 131,000 bicycles have been
shipped to developing countries in Latin America, Africa, and
Eastern Europe and distributed at low cost to poor working
adults. These bikes provide them with reliable transportation
for commuting to work, transporting produce to market, or
