The Garden Club of Westfield in partnership with Williams Nursery will
stage a Garden Education Day at the nursery 524 Springfield Ave.,
on Saturday, April 14 from 10am to 4pm. The event is open to the
public free of charge. There will be greenhouse walks,
demonstrations, activities for children, refreshments, and hourly
drawings for door prizes. Seven experts will speak on new plants,
organic pest management, edible landscaping, jersey grown
plants, composting, flowers & art, and water conservation. Master

The Town of Westfield is conducting work on the improvements of
Elm St. and E. Broad St. These improvements will involve ADA
compliant handicapped ramps at the four corners, asphalt road
surfacing and crosswalk repaving. The limits of the road resurfacing
will be on Elm St. between Quimby St. and municipal lot #4, and on
E. Broad St. between Elm and Central Ave. This street improvement
project began in late March and will continue in April. Any questions
