Joint complaints
Glucosamin Tabs
To support the joints
Cartilage is subject to repair and breakdown processes.
A disturbance in the balance between the repair and breakdown
of cartilage cells (chondrocytes) leads to joint illnesses. Daily
administration of glucosamine and chondroitin provides your dog
with important nutrients for the functioning and repair of joints and
connecting tissues such as cartilage. Glucosamine, a precursor for
glycosaminoglycans, contributes to the repair of cartilage and joint
fluids and thereby also indirectly to the formation of chondroitin
sulphate.
Because chondroitin sulphate has a high water binding
capacity as well as an anti-inflammatory and wound
healing effect, it is one of the most important glycosaminoglycans. Even the formation of cartilage
breakdown enzymes is suppressed by chondroitin
sulphate. The combination of glucosamine and
chondroitin has a positive effect on joint problems
and supports cartilage repair, whereby a balance is
recreated between the repair and breakdown of cartilage.
Application:
As a means of prevention, and for dogs with joint
complaints such as arthritis, osteochondrosis,
spondylolysis, dysplasia and joint rheumatism.

Joint complaints
Artusano
Natural joint protection
Connecting tissue, such as joint cartilage and joint capsules,
primarily consist of glycosaminoglycans (GAG), which regulate
the transport of repair and breakdown materials in the joints. A
problem with these processes will lead to joint complaints. The
first indications are stiffness when standing up and pain when
standing. To ensure the full vitality of the joints it is recommended
to feed your dog GAG-rich food regularly.
The New Zealand Greenshell mussel contain, amongst
other important natural agents, an abundance of
glycosaminoglycans, which according to numerous
studies have a positive influence on the functioning of
the joints.
Complementary food for dogs
Artusano from Dr. Alder contains 60% natural Greenshell
mussel powder and is available in bars which are easy to
separate into doses.

Artuflex
Joint powder for dogs and horses
Greenshell mussel powder is a source of natural and unique
nutritional substances from the sea. It has an abundance of omega
3 fatty acids and contains 18 important amino acids, 10 minerals,
trace minerals, enzymes and glycosaminoglycans such as
heparan sulphate, dermatan sulphate, hyaluronic acid and
chondroitin sulphate.
These effective elements have an anti-inflammatory and
wound healing effect on joints and provide continual
repair to the cartilage tissue by encouraging collagen
synthesis. They hinder the effect of enzymes which cause
the cartilage substance to be destroyed.
The rebuilding effect of glycosaminoglycans (GAG) on
connective tissue, such as cartilage, ligaments &
tendons, is supported by other substances such as
phyteuma roots and silicon. This helps to alleviate joint
pains and stiffness.
Application:
As preventative treatment for animals that are in
particular danger due to bodily strains, their breed, age
or weight, as well as support treatment for joint disorders.

Nervous system
Anti-Stress Tabs
For sedation and relaxation
Stress in dogs happens more often than you think. Psychic
stresses cause worry and nervousness. Even a sudden change
in surroundings can trigger stress. Forms of stress include, for
example, fear of car travel, fear prior to a plane journey, fear of
noise or a visit to the vet.
Long-term stress can attack the immune system of the
dog and cause health and behavioural disorders. The
100% natural combination of the active ingredients of
valerian and St John’s Wort (Hypericum perforatum) has a
calming and relaxing effect on the central nervous system
and reduces both long-term and short-term reactions to
stress.
The anti-stress tablets are non-drowsy and can therefore
be administered without concern over long periods.
Application:
For nervous and afraid dogs, as well as dogs with
behavioural disorders caused by stress.

Urinary tract
Struvit-Ex
Urine acidification paste for dogs and cats
Struvite stones are the most common form of bladder stones
among dogs and cats. Struvite stones form in the bladder and
can also be washed into the urethra, where they cause pain and
obstruct the urethra.
Cats are particularly affected by this due to their longer
and thinner urethra. Struvite stones are called infectious
stones, because an infection with urease-producing
bacteria makes the bladder PH alkaline. The first
indications of an inflammation or partial obstruction of
the bladder include blood in urine, as well as regular and
strained urinating. Please then make sure that you visit
a vet.
Dietary feed supplement for dogs and
cats to reduce struvite stone recurrence
and to support renal function.
Ingredients:
Derivatives of vegetable origin, oils and fats,
yeast, dextrose, meat and animal derivatives,
DL-Methionine
Analysis:
The causes and risk factors for the formation of struvite
stones are very diverse. They range from infections of the
urinal tract, hereditary conditions and nutritional deficiencies to low water intake. To support the resolution and
prevent the reoccurrence of struvite stones it is recommended to administer Struvit-Ex paste to the animals due
to its uric acid features. The paste is readily eaten by the
animals.
Application:
For cats and dogs to acidify the urine.

Immune system
Immun Tabs
To strengthen the immune system
The immune system of your dog is attacked daily by numerous
pathogens. The body’s own defence system ensures, however,
that they are made harmless. If colds, skin problems, diarrhoea,
infections or allergies occur regularly, this indicates that the
immune system is weak.
Antibiotics, stress and extreme strain on the body also
weaken the natural defence system. Immun tablets from
Dr. Alder provide the immune system with bio-active egg
proteins (immunoglobulin) as well as a number of active
agents to increase the defence system and general
well-being. Every day anew.

Metabolism
Natural herbs
Healthy goodness from nature for the skin, fur,
metabolism, bones, ligaments and tendons
Itching, dandruff, blunt fur, bald patches in the coat, long-term hair
loss, limb pains, allergies … they can all be signs of deficiencies
which are usually caused by digestive problems and a metabolic
system which is not working properly. Even if you feed your dog
high-quality food, digestive and metabolic deficiencies can occur
because it is unable to absorb all the nutrients it needs from the
food.
Natural herbs from Dr. Alder are carefully selected herbs,
which support and optimise the body’s metabolic
processes. They help to purify the body, provide it with
important nutrients and improve the intestinal flora.
The toxins collected in the body are excreted via the
kidneys and the intestine. Your dog will then be able to
absorb all the nutrients it needs from its food and to help
the somatic cells to overcome the deficiency. The special
natural herbs are available in powder form as a natural
herb mix + biotin and for reward snacks and cleaning
the teeth as natural herb snacks + dental care.
Application:
For dogs to support and optimise the body’s metabolic
processes and detoxify the organism.

Cardio-vascular
Active garlic
Protection from parasites and an elixir
Garlic (allium sativum) is a plant which is extremely rich in vital
substances. In addition to its sulphurous substances, which
develop a therapeutic effect, garlic contains the antioxidant
vitamins A, C, E, vitamin B complex and vitamin K, which is
important for blood clotting. It also contains different fatty acids,
steroids and flavonoids as well as a whole range of healthpromoting enzymes. Garlic has a particularly good effect on the
cardio-vascular system.
It helps to keep the circulation in the blood vessels elastic
and free from sediments, and relaxes and expands the
vessels. Garlic can also reduce blood-fat levels and
prevent thrombosis forming. A further important characteristic of garlic is its anti-bacterial effectiveness.
This is primarily due to its active agent allicin, which is
deadly to pathogen bacteria and to maggots and worms
in the intestinal system. Daily administration of garlic
grains also makes dogs and cats seem unattractive to
fleas and ticks. Active garlic from Dr. Alder is 100%
natural and does not contain any additives.

Vitamins & minerals
Supercal
Vitamin and mineral nutrition
The compound SUPERCAL, which is scientifically prepared in
accordance with the latest knowledge, covers the need of your
pet for vitamins, minerals and trace minerals. Young animals in
particular have a large need for these rebuilding substances.
Adult or old animals also have to be given a sufficient amount
of vitamins and minerals daily.
This particularly applies if you prepare your animal’s
normal nutrition from fresh ingredients or if it consists of
the remains from lunch. In order to prevent deficiencies
from occurring in the short and medium-term, it is
recommended to add SUPERCAL daily into your
animal’s food.
Sick animals and those under a particularly large amount
of physical stress also have an increased need for
vitamins and minerals, which is not always included in
their normal diet. This powder can be mixed into any
moist food. It should, however, not be cooked.
Application:
For dogs and cats to supply them with additional vitamins
and minerals and to compensate calcium deficiencies.

Reward snacks for allergy sufferers
Spelt biscuits
The ideal reward snacks for allergy suffering dogs
It is usually hard to find a suitable snack for dogs that suffer from
a food allergy. Trade-standard biscuits contain wheat flour, corn,
rice, barley or oatmeal as their corn base as well as tankage,
sugar and aromatic animal fats, in order to improve the taste.
Binding agents, colourings and preservatives can also often be
seen in most “snacks”.
Spelt biscuits from Dr. Alder exclusively contain spelt as
the only source of corn. Spelt is known for its tolerability
and its natural content of valuable ingredients, such as
silicic acid and all essential amino acids.
Further valuable elements of the spelt biscuits are bee
honey and linseed oil (omega 3). Dr. Alder spelt biscuits
are available in two flavours: fish or chicken. They do not
contain binding agents, colourings or preservatives. They
can, of course, also be enjoyed by dogs that do not have
food allergies.
Application:
For dogs with food allergies, including allergies against
wheat, maize, rice, barley, oatmeal & beef.

Stomach & intestines
Rice-vegetable diet
Light food for stomach and intestinal problems
Stomach and intestinal problems can occur from time to time if
your dog has eaten something which doesn’t agree with it. It reacts
to it with vomiting and diarrhoea. The stomach and intestinal
mucous are easily irritated and have to calm down first. The best
thing is to go without food for a day, although making sure that
enough fresh drinking water is available.
Feeding should continue the next day with a light meal,
such as this rice-vegetable diet, possibly complemented
by cooked chicken. After a few days, once the digestive
system has returned to normal, you can gradually switch
back to normal food.
Dr. Alder’s rice-vegetable diet is also particularly suitable
for mixing into fresh or canned meat. The pre-cooked rice
flakes are a source of easily digestible carbohydrates,
which together with the fibre-rich vegetables forms the
ideal basis for a self-prepared meal.
Application:
For dogs that need light and carbohydrate-rich nutrition
due to stomach and intestinal problems or other illnesses
which affect the body or the digestive system.

Obesity
Skinny Tabs
Help your dog to lose weight
More than 40% of dogs today suffer from obesity to a greater or
lesser degree. Obesity can also put extra strain on the muscles,
bones and organs of your dog. It also brings an increased risk of
diabetes and heart, joint and airway complaints. It is best to fight
obesity with energy-reduced food (such as MyLord Light & Senior
from Dr. Alder) and increased exercise.
Additional administration of skinny tablets reduces the
feeling of hunger and promotes intestinal functions in a
natural way.

Skin and fur
Zink Tabs
+ Vitamin C und E
To provide your animal with a
daily amount of zinc
Zinc is an important trace mineral. It activates and controls 200
important metabolic procedures and is also important for the skin
and fur. It can be found in considerable concentrations in dogs. A
lack of zinc can cause skin lesions such as erythematic, alopecia,
scabs, dandruff and secondary infections. As well as weakening
the body’s defensive system a zinc deficiency can also lead to
growth and fertility disorders. A lack of zinc can occur in animals
that suffer from chronic or inflammatory illnesses, or if zinc
absorption in the intestine is prevented by increased calcium or
excessive corn nutrition. A genetic zinc deficiency can
also be observed in some different dog breeds, such as
bull terriers, great Danes, Dobermans, Siberian huskies,
Alaskan malamutes etc. This all leads to an increased
requirement for zinc. Zinc tablets with chelated zinc are
easily absorbed by the body and contain additional
vitamin C and E to provide optimal antioxidant protection
to the somatic cells. Zinc tablets are 100% natural, are
particularly tasty for dogs and can be administered
without concern over long periods.
Application:
To counter zinc deficiencies and for dogs that suffer from:
Diabetes, liver, heart and kidney diseases, pancreatic
insufficiency, rheumatic arthritis, dermatitis, slow wound
healing, hair loss, growth disorders, fertility disorders,
susceptibility to infections.

Biotin 1000
With glucose
Biotin, also know as vitamin H, plays an important role in carbohydrate metabolism and in the metabolism of fat. Because biotin
contains sulphur it is extremely important for the skin and hair
cells.
They contain a lot of sulphur and are replenished by biotin. The fat
content of the skin is also affected by biotin. Where this vitamin is
lacking, seborrhoea quickly occurs, an illness-altered discharge
from the sebaceous gland, where too much fat is released onto the
skin and the coat.
The consequences are amongst others hair loss and
dandruff. Because sulphur gives the hair and skins its oily
protective function, a lack of biotin makes the coat blunt
and non-glossy. Even the claws become brittle.
Supplementary nutrition for cats and dogs
Biotin is also important for a stable blood sugar level,
and also supports the utilisation of protein and helps to
build-up fatty acids and to burn off fat. Biotin 1000 is
easily absorbed by the body and is 100% natural.

Haarvital
Cold-pressed vegetable oil for internal coat care
Fats and oils are important components of nutrition. They can be
separated into three groups: "saturated", "monounsaturated" and
"polyunsaturated" fats. Polyunsaturated fats are essential for
building-up the organism and looking after its functions. They
have to be contained in the food that the animals are given.
Polyunsaturated fats are essential components of all
somatic cells and amongst other things ensure that the
cells are elastic which is necessary to ensure that the
skin stays smooth and healthy. They also serve as a
source material for so-called eicosanoids. These are
substances which regulate different necessary bodily
processes (blood pressure, blood clotting, blood-fat
level).
Haarvital from three different cold-pressed vegetable oils
contains a large amount of polyunsaturated fats such as
omega 3 and omega 6, which ensure better pigmentation,
a thick and glossy coat, increased resistance to illness
and vitality.
Application:
For animals with blunt fur, persistent and long-term hair
loss, hair breakage and irritated skin or skin with dandruff,
due to a lack of polyunsaturated fats.
