SPEAKER BIOS KIRK DAVIS, DO TOM HOUSE, PHD Dr. House’s personal mission is to inform, instruct, and inspire people to improve their performance, their quality of life, and help them live younger longer. Tom travels internationally teaching and researching the best protocols and products to help individuals improve their quality of life. He integrates elite sports science and sports technology with health and fitness needs of the everyday individual. Dr. House is recognized as one of the world’s foremost authorities on pitching. He pitched on the professional level from 1967 to 1979 for the Atlanta Braves, the Boston Red Sox, and for the Seattle Mariners. He has coached since 1980 for the Houston Astros, San Diego Padres, Texas Rangers, and Chiba Lotte Marines (Tokyo). Fluent in Spanish, Tom has also coached in Latin America. On the amateur level, Tom is an information and instruction coordinator for 12 baseball academies across the United States and Canada. He directly accesses 5,000-6,000 players/coaches per year in clinic settings. Dr. House’s four companies—BioKinetics West, Functional Fitness, Next Generation Nutrition, and Mental/Emotional Management—lead the way in three-dimensional analysis of human movement, the physical preparation to support this movement, the metabolic preparation to fuel human activity, and the necessary mental emotional makeup to accomplish all of the above. While devoting his life to baseball pitching research, Dr. House has also been recognized for his work in the areas of functional fitness and flexibility. His groundbreaking work in these areas has led to appointment to the Board of Advisors for the Titleist Performance Institute. Dr. House holds a PhD in psychology and travels the world as an international consultant, performance analyst, and sports psychologist. He is currently an advisor with the American Sports Medicine Institute and has paneled seminars for the Academic Advisors of America. Dr. Davis is a graduate of Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his orthopedic residency at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. His sports medicine fellowship was completed at The Hughston Sports Medicine Foundation in Columbus, Georgia. In 2010 he became a fellow of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics. ANIL GUPTA, MD, MBA Dr. Gupta is fellowship-trained in sports medicine and shoulder surgery and treats patients with shoulder, elbow and knee problems using the most advanced and modern techniques, including cartilage preservation procedures. He has served as an assistant team physician for Duke University’s football and basketball teams as well as the Chicago Bulls, Chicago White Sox, and DePaul University. ROBERT KOLLMORGEN, DO, LIEUTENANT COMMANDER US NAVY Dr. Kollmorgen is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University, Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed his residency at Midwestern University in Chicago. As a Naval Officer he has cared for thousands of marines, sailors, and wounded warriors with many complex sports and traumatic injuries. INFORM, INSTRUCT, AND INSPIRE: JASON W. RANKIN, ATC Matthew, an Ohio native, received his bachelor’s degree in community health and a master’s degree in athletic training form Ohio University.
