All the groups get a granite “rooster”, a symbol of the festival. Traditionally the festival was opened by the Youth Orchestra from Auerbach - with the IXth symphony of Ludwik von Bethoven – Europe’s hymn. For the first time the groups took part in Holly Masses in both St.Peter and Paul Church and in St. Saviour and Holly Mother Church. There were three stages, one more than during the previous festivals: the main one on the OsiR stadium, the smaller one on the camping field of OSiR stadium and one on the Market, where short concerts took place introducing the participating groups. Our audience is well prepared for folklore music and they welcome all the groups very warmly. The organisers for the first time published a folder „Festival Courier”. Some people loved the subtle Chinese dancers, the other liked Hindu dances, or mysterious shof of Mexican group. In such a company even the festival host – the group Kostrzanie looked very strange. All the foreign artists ensured that they felt very well in Poland – I like it a lot in Poland.
