THE 2009 LINE-UP IS HERE!!
The Mountain View Music Fest is pleased to announce this years
festival line-up, promising to be the best yet with such amazing and well
known performers as IAN TYSON, PATRICIA CONROY, CINDY
CHURCH, IAN THOMAS and DIAMOND JOE WHITE gracing the
stage at our little grass roots festival.
For three days in August, the rural community of Carstairs transforms
into a high energy, tune-fueled, family friendly good time, and we want
you there! The Mountain View Music Fest appeals to everyone, with a
mix of folk, country, rock, pop, world beat and roots genres, spreading
across not only the main stage, but two additional stages added for 2009.
Get in the gates by donation, and spend the day with your family listening to a great variety of music,
indulging in the tasty delights made available, and browsing the artisan market for some one-of-a-kind
works. The MVMF is also pleased to host the ‘Giggle Zone’ with all sorts of fun to keep the smiles on
your little ones faces. 2009 also sees the fest take on a new approach to presenting a wide variety of music
for all ages and all ears. The Main Stage hosts our headliners as well as some well known western
Canadian roots, folk, pop and country acts, while the ‘Fast Lane’ stage in the Carstairs Curling Rink serves
as a venue for the ‘louder’ contingent of the festival. ‘Memory Lane’ stage in the Roulston Museum is a
place where those who like a little slower pace can take in some ‘unplugged’ traditional, folk and gospel
music. After hours, those of legal age can move over to Barley’s Pub for some night time entertainment by
THE RELAYS and SKAVENJAH!
The Mountain View Music Fest’s Main Stage is proudly brought to you by BIG ROCK, who will also be
supplying the libations for the weekend in the beer gardens. Together we welcome to the stage:
