This year is the 21st anniversary of BALKAN FOLK FEST and the ninth anniversary of
BALKAN FOLK FEST – BULGARIA. This year we will provide better festival conditions (lower prices
and higher quality) and even better concert organization. Term from 10.06. to 31.08. 2015.
We chose a new location – the pearl of Black Sea, one of the most popular Bulgarian tourist centers – the
Golden Sands Resort which is 14 kilometers away from the town of Varna.
In 2005 the festival participants can stay at Zora Hotel (http://hotel-zora.com/) which has a perfect
location in Golden Sands Resort- it is on the coast, 300 meters away from the beach and the sea. The
hotel can accommodate more than ten ensembles at once and it satisfies all of our requirements.
As is our practice, we took your suggestions into consideration in order to achieve excellent results and
we hope that this year will be even better than the previous ones.
The hotel we chose is in a big garden surrounded by greenery. The rooms are triple, but each ensemble is
planned to have at least two double rooms (with a fridge and a TV). All rooms have separate bathrooms.
Most rooms have balconies. Food is served in a buffet format at breakfast, lunch and dinner so that all
participants may be satisfied. Breakfast includes juice, coffee and tea. For lunch there are different soups,
three types of main dishes – two of them include meat, the other one is vegetarian – as well as dressing,
salads, fruit and dessert. The dinner is similar to the lunch.
Each ensemble is responsible for organizing its transportation. There is a parking lot for buses. It is
possible to fly by plane to Burgas or Varna and we can help you with the consequent trip.
The hotel has a doctor’s office, Wi-Fi, a sauna, a gym and a 12-meter-long pool whose depth reaches 1.5
meters and is perfect for children. We can organize free swimming lessons during your stay. Evening
parties and concerts near the sea as well as a beautiful beach will enhance the pleasure of your stay.
The festival team will remain the same – the festival director is Dushan Milkovich and the people involved
in organizing the concerts are Mougosha – a program manager and Plamen – a music manager. DJ Daniel
is responsible for the pool and evening parties.
All ensembles shall choose a date to arrive and the organizer has the right to change the dates with +/- 3
days according to the schedule.
The festival will take place on several stages: Golden Sands Resort (our stage for the length of the
festival), Golden Sands amphitheatre as well as open-air stages in Varna.

There are many beautiful places to visit in Golden Sands, Varna and the vicinity: Aquapolis,
Dolphinarium, Fanagoria Proto-Bulgarian Village, Zoo, Aquarium, Observatory,
Evksinograd Palace, Eco Park, Aladja Monastery, Balchik Palace and Garden.
Participants in the festival may be folklore ensembles, choirs, orchestras, dancers,
cheerleaders and singers.
The number of festival participants is not limited (but they cannot be tourists). Each ensemble must have
a fifteen-minute program, this depends on the number of ensembles at a concert. The concerts take place
on excellent open-air stages with professional sound and lighting systems and all of them will be recorded

in April 2015. The concerts will take place every two days.
Music may be played by a live orchestra or through a CD. All participants will receive a certificate and a
plaque. The best of them will receive a diploma "BEST OF THE BEST’’.
All ensemble performances will be shown on BFF’s you tube channel. Prices are guaranteed for all
participants after an advanced payment is made in euros for each participant when receiving an
application form. The advanced payment may be made in euros either at the hotel or at the festival and
the rest will be paid before their stay. The participants will receive for free: for 21 participant you receive
1 for free(20+1), for 42 - 2 free(40+2), and for 53 - 3 free (50 + 3). The application form must be sent to
