CISNEROS TEAMS WITH GETTY IMAGES
Cisneros Media Distribution has announced the signing of a deal with Getty
Images Latin America for the development and worldwide commercialization of
programmable content, exploiting the international agency s vault of millions of
images and thousands of hours of audiovisual material, including 4K videos. The
landmark co-production agreement will establish a new creative unit, MOBIUS.LAB
Productions, dedicated exclusively to the creation and production of content and
innovative formats in a variety of lengths, considering audiences habits of multiplescreen viewing. Cisneros will showcase more than 20 different shows currently being
developed by MOBIUS.LAB Productions at the upcoming international market,
MIPCOM 2015.

TELEVISA TO OFFER ENGLISH LANGUAGE CONTENT
Grupo Televisa, S.A.B., has announced that it is greenlighting production of multiple
English-language series to fuel its own original content demands as well as those
from the growing global on-demand and traditional TV markets. Among the first to
utilize the 1991 Mexican-Canadian tax treaty for scripted series, together with
Vancouver-based Odyssey Media, Televisa will offer the debut series in this
venture, Duality, starring Dougray Scott at MIPCOM. Duality depicts an elite,
top-secret team of State Department, CIA and Mexican intelligence agents within
Mexico who wage war against the world s most dangerous villains operating in Latin
America. The series, based on an original story from writer-producer Barry
Schkolnick, depicts characters on dangerous missions while battling their own
personal demons, maintaining their secret identities and encountering life-threatening
conflicts.

ROOTS AT MIPCOM
A+E Networks® kicks off the 20th anniversary of its international business at
MIPCOM with a new scripted slate headlined by Roots, Agatha Christie s And
Then There Were None, and a new season of UnREAL. Launching at MIPCOM
is Roots, a television event based on the novel by Alex Haley. Mini-series is an
historical portrait of American slavery, recounting one family s will to survive, endure
and ultimately carry on their legacy despite enormous hardship and inhumanity.
Throughout the series, the family continues to face adversity while bearing witness
and contributing to notable events in U.S. history, including the Revolutionary and

RED ARROW TAKES DIET WARS TO MIPCOM
Red Arrow International be handling the international distribution for the new U.S.
network reality format Diet Wars (international title), produced by Los Angelesbased Kinetic Content and New York-based Milojo Productions for ABC. The
series will air on ABC in 2016 and Red Arrow International will launch the format to
the international market at next month s MIPCOM 2015. Diet Wars pairs six
overweight people with six diet experts, each with a new, revolutionary weight loss
plan. Over the course of the season, the plans will be tested, and the diet expert
whose weight loss method sees the most significant weight loss results over the
course of the season receives nationwide recognition, and the slimmed-down
contestant wins an incredible, life-changing prize (8 x 60 ).

STATHAM HEADS TO TELEVISION
Gaumont International Television has announced that the company's newest
project will be the action thriller Viva La Madness, a one-hour drama series based
on a book of the same name by J.J. Connolly and starring Jason Statham. In Viva
la Madness, the anonymous protagonist is stranded in the Caribbean, itching for
the criminal life he left behind but he's still a wanted man back home. Soon he joins
forces with two robust London gangsters: the menacing Sonny King and his paranoid
partner Roy "Twitchy" Burns. Incredibly quick-moving and filled with witty sarcasm
and humor, series is a first-rate action-adventure that takes place in a world of
madness that somehow makes terrible sense (10 x 60 ).

content producer, have announced the start of production of the telenovela Entre
Tu Amor y Mi Amor ( Separated by Love ). Entre Tu Amor y Mi Amor is the

HEALTHY EATING
Focusing on a young boy named Jonny, Karl is an animated series designed
to help children make better choices about what they eat. We all have the desire
to eat pizza, hamburgers and junk food, and so does Jonny. Every episode starts
with young Jonny wanting to eat an unhealthy food or drink. We enter Jonny's
mind, where Karl (the healthy side of Jonny's conscience) appears to battle the
temptations. Each episode ends with Jonny saying ''NO'' to the unhealthy food
and choosing a healthier option instead (52 x 2 , plus 52 x 2 in production).

Kulipari: An Army of Frogs, is based on a trilogy of books created by

Currently in development, Mumfie is a new animated TV series based upon
the characters created for the Magic Adventures of Mumfie. The Magic
Adventures of Mumfie was an animated children s television series and a movie
created by Britt Allcroft and first shown in the UK in the 1990 s on CiTV and on
Fox Kids in the US and many other international channels. Lead character
Mumfie is an elephant who is joined on his adventures by a variety of animals

SUICIDE MISSION
Filmed in India and shot in English, Hindi and Urdu, Little Terrors is an intense and
poignant film that follows the fate of a 13-year-old American boy recruited by terrorists to
bomb a U.S. embassy in Delhi. He is trained by radicals in a remote camp in northern
Pakistan before being sent to live with a Muslim family prior to the attack. However, the

Based on actual events, The Witness House is set in Germany, just after the end of
World War II. The Nuremberg Trials are about to begin; the war criminals are to be

THE ECONOMICS OF OCCUPATION
Currently in production, The Economy of Occupation looks at the occupation of
Palestine, revealing that it is big business for a surprisingly large number of
international corporations as well as for the State of Israel. This investigative
documentary will show how money makers profit from the occupation, confronting them

NEW FACE OF HEROIN
Al Jazeera America will present Heroin USA, a documentary from award-winning
journalist Soledad O Brien, which looks at the new face of the growing heroin
epidemic in suburban America. Scheduled to debut on September 27, O Brien will
report that the drug that was once an inner city problem is hitting suburban America,
and hitting it hard. The documentary recounts the experience of three individuals living
in the suburbs of Cincinnati, Ohio, which has recently become the center of the nation s
heroin epidemic. From 2010 to 2013, the number of people who died of heroin
overdose in Ohio nearly tripled, while Kentucky experienced a near five-fold increase.
Together they paint the new face of the heroin epidemic: young, well-off and white.
Their stories of addiction reveal the web of lies, manipulation, theft and even
prostitution that addicts engage in to fund their habits (60 ).
