Member Aron Schurhke
State Farm Agency participated in the Holiday Parade
of Lights.
As the new year starts to take
shape, I am looking forward to
working with you as your new
Board President. I would like
to say thank you to Tara Klahn
for her time and dedication
during her term and wish her
well in her future endeavors.
My wife and I are life-long
Region residents and intend
on raising our two children
here. I currently sit as a Director on the Tri-Creek Education Foundation and have
been with Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance for over 10
years. I am looking forward
to getting to know our Member businesses and find different ways of helping to
promote each business individually.
More involvement with our
Members is also important.
Whether it’s your attendance at
a meeting or asking a question
or voicing your concern, the
Chamber appreciates your feedback.
My promise to you is that the
Chamber will continually strive
to better itself so we can work
together towards success.

2015 is going to be a busy
year! We have several events
in the works!
Stop in the Chamber Office
to pick up your Buy Local
Decal!
First, at a Board Meeting held
in November, the following
2015 Directors were voted on
unanimously:
Michael
Hanger, President; Linda
Baer, Vice-President; Linda
Bourrell, Treasurer; Claudia
White, Secretary; Norma Gonzalez, Director; Garry Bales,
Director; Deana Sutton, Director.
The Chamber is planning a
Business Community Showcase for Saturday, March 21st.
This event will be held at
Lowell High School. Additional information will be sent
to members by the beginning
of February. As this is an ideal
location, we are asking all
Members to get involved in
this event and take advantage
of a great promotion opportunity for your business!
The Chamber is also looking
into planning a golf outing
sometime in June. More information will be sent in February. Doesn’t matter if you are
a scratch golfer or social
golfer, come out and enjoy!
The 4th Annual Wine Tasting
and Silent Auction will once
again be held in October. It is
a night of fun: bidding on
items and wine tasting. We
are looking for donations for
the silent auction and will be
sending out letters in April.
Social Nights will be held once
a month from 6pm-8pm with
a different location for each
event. If you haven’t had a
chance to attend, it’s a great
way to meet other Members
and network.
