WITNESS A NIGHT OF MIRACLES
Join us on Saturday, October 27th at the Winnipeg Convention Centre for a fabulous
evening of food, dance and entertainment. It’s time for the “A Night of Miracles”
gala dinner and dance (presented by Procurity encounter Brand), and this year, the
event is celebrating its 10th year!
What can you expect? Upon arrival at the Winnipeg Convention Centre, guests will
have the opportunity to purchase one of 50 limited edition Mystery Boxes, filled
with various delectable gifts, and a CRF cookie that gets them an entry into the
Cookie Draw. Emcees Kerri Salki from 102 Clear FM, and Eva Kovacs from Global
Winnipeg will keep guests entertained and the atmosphere fun. After enjoying a
gourmet meal, CRF will premiere its latest video “Waverley’s Story”. The video will
highlight Waverley Leduc, our 2012 Child Representative and her family, and how
the Foundation has affected their lives. The Leduc family will address the crowd in
what will be a memorable presentation. The evening will be topped off with a live
auction by auctioneer Doug Spiers from the Winnipeg Free Press, a spectacular
silent auction, and dancing to live music from the Danny Kramer Event Band.
Don’t delay - contact Rita today at 204-453-9838 for more information. Individual
tickets are $150, and there are various levels of sponsorship available. All the money
raised goes directly to helping Manitoba’s children living with special needs and
disabilities. In the past nine years, the event has raised $450,000 for the Children’s
Rehabilitation Foundation.
KYDEN’S NEW WHEELCHAIR
Thank you to Les Weins & Cal Higgins from Investors Group, and the 13
cyclists and support crew who raised over $14,000 through the12th Annual
Road to Rehab cycling adventure! On August 17 and 18, the group cycled
over 200 miles from Grand Forks to Fargo, and back as a fun and healthy
fundraiser for CRF. Way to go!
Cal and Les challenged the group to raise enough funds to purchase a special
wheelchair for seven-year-old Kyden. Cyclists saw the results of their fundraising efforts at the windup party, where Kyden, his mom Brigitte and sister Calea
were on hand to show off Kyden’s new wheelchair. Group members were visibly
moved as Brigitte, Kyden and Calea thanked the riders for helping Kyden achieve
new independence. Pictured left: 2012 Road for Rehab cyclists celebrate their
cycling victory with Brigitte, Kyden and Calea.
