A MARÉE HAUTE - MOULAY
You are looking for your dream house right by the sea? We have found it
here in Moulay. A Maurée Haute is an extraordinary and wonderful guest
house in an intimate setting with only three individually furnished guest
rooms. It is located on a small hill outside of Moulay, about a 15 minutes

THE SPOT
The world famous wave spot 25 km north of Essaouira. The summer
months (June - August) mean very strong wind and smaller waves,
and in the Spring and Autumn the swell is bigger but the wind lighter
– averaging 4 - 6 beaufort. The day starts with light wind – perfect for
an early morning SUP or surf session, and then picks up through the
day peaking around 2 - 3 pm. This is a spot for intermediates, advanced and experts, with strong winds and waves of all sizes (2 - 5 m in
winter – less in summer) and a sandy rescue beach downwind should
you break and drift.
Moulay should be on the must-visit list of all wave sailors as it's the
only reef break within short-haul travelling distance that is open to
Atlantic groundswells and has a reliable thermal cross-shore wind.
Plus it's starboard tack! It’s a fantastic spot – you, nature, like minded
windsurfers, friendly locals and unforgettable sessions!

FBC Moulay (Magic Fun Moulay) is truly unique in our portfolio of
centers. The center is based in Moulay, but also operates windsurfing safaris to Sidi Kaouki and Essaouira in order to get the best from
these magical locations. Bruno, the owner, has 20 years of experience, knows the local tides and conditions, and will make sure that
you are always in the right place at the right time. The wind blows
side shore from the right at all spots but generally Moulay and Sidi
Kaouki have the strongest wind. Moulay is a firm favourite with the

THE SPOT
FBC KOS – (Big Blue Surf Center) is directly on the beach at Psalidi
on the north east coast of Kos, where the island’s best freeride conditions can be found. The wind is side/sideoffshore from the left, and
usually lighter in the mornings, when beginner courses take place. The
wind blows directly from the beach with no wind shadow and intensifies through the day giving way to sensational slalom blasting with
swell/chops up to 1 m on the outside. The proximity of Turkey (15 km
across the water) creates a wind funnel system, producing stronger
winds than other spots on the island. A natural reserve upwind from the
spot and the total absence of buildings guarantee the most constant
possible winds to all. The sailing area is large and very safe, with a
dedicated baywatch and rescue service free of charge. In other words:
a truly ideal spots for all levels and aspirations, all day long.

The center is completely new for Summer 2011 and will also offer
kitesurfing and SUP! It is very well equipped and organized with
Fanatic, North Sails and North Kiteboarding equipment and is situated
on the beach in front of the Hotel Natura Park Village. There are extensive views of Turkey, and stunning scenery whilst windsurfing or kitesurfing. FBC Kos is very family friendly, and many of the guests and
the team come back year after year!

The 4 star terrace style hotel Arion is nestled in the hills overlooking the
picturesque sailing bay. Walking distance to the FBC Center is five minutes by path. There are 108 rooms and you can choose between the main
building and terraced bungalows. The family rooms have an additional
bunk bed. Most rooms offer sea view. The mealplan is half board.

THE SPOT
FBC SAMOS – (Samos Windsurfing) is on the northern coast of
Samos, 5 minutes on foot from the picturesque town of Kokkari.
Samos is perfect for entry level, intermediate freeriders, freestylers
and speed addicts. The wind blows side shore from the left, and
increases the further out you sail. The sailing area is unlimited with
a stunning mountainous backdrop and great open sea bump & jump
conditions. Swell can generate ramps up to 2 m high on the outside.
There is a slight wind shadow to the left of the main center, entry
level and kids can practice all day in the safest of crystal clear
waters with standing area, even when it is howling outside! VDWS
Instruction and certification are offered, and beginner lessons are
held in a new perfect spot 3 km away from the center, in Avliaka
(shuttle organized free of charge by the center). On top of all this the
spot is blessed with an afternoon thermic that guarantees daily planing conditions. Finally, there are no time restrictions here – the
center closes when the last windsurfer decides to come off of the
water! To top it all up, FBC Samos also offers SUP to make the best
out of every hour of each day of your holiday – not to be missed!

FBC Samos has a really nice relaxed family atmosphere about it
and is set up so that all you need is on site. The bar serves ice cold
drinks, coffees and snacks at very reasonable prices. Showers, toilets and changing facilities are all here, plus WiFi, free sunbeds and
umbrellas. The kid’s playground is a firm favourite and there is also
a Kids Club with qualified staff. Samos is renowned for its mountain
biking and hiking trails and is a paradise for runners and climbers.
Quality mountain bikes are available at the center, and the friendly
team will tell you the best routes for your level.

authentic, fun-loving personalities. Right on your doorstep!
Lanzarote is situated 120 km off the coast of Africa and is the most
easterly of the Canaries. Formed as a result of volcanic activity about 15
million years ago, it is 70 km long and 20 km wide with around 300 volcanoes! There is a truly unique light, spectrum of colours, and scenic diversity in Lanzarote. With the mild and sunny climate all year round, the
superb conditions, so much to do and the short flight to get there, you
should pass by!

This elegant, Mediterranean-style Occidental Grand Teguise Playa Hotel
is set on the beachfront of Playa del Jalblillo. The sandy beach of Las
Cucharas and the FBC Lanzarote is just a 10 minute’s walk away. The
4-star property offers a wide range of amenities and services including a
nice pool landscape, restaurants and bars, a variety of sports and a spa
area. The hotel is also very suitable for families with children.

THE SPOT
FBC Lanzarote is located in the middle of the crescent-shaped pure
sandy bay of Las Cucharas, and safely surrounded by beach and
shore on all sides. The conditions are fantastic and the PWA hold
their world cup freestyle event here every year. The steady trade
winds blow sideshore from the left and increase in strength the
further out you sail. The wind is most consistent during the summer
(April-September), blowing regularly from 4 - 6bft. During the winter
the wind is less predictable, but the swell comes in and completely
transforms the island and her spots. The bay is sheltered by jetties
and provides an ideal area for beginners. Outside there is a shallow
reef to the left where waves can easily reach 2 - 3 metres. Wave
freaks and freeriders really are in for a treat. Further inside the bay
in the main (high) wind area, the conditions are flat water and bump
& jump, turning into open sea after approx. 500 meters. Perfect for
freeriders and freestylers.

The center is based right at the heart of the island’s local windsurfing
and surfing scene and is open all year round. It is well organized,
very professional and has showers, changing room and toilets. There
you will find the latest Fanatic and Neil Pryde ranges, and a great
team who will make your
day, every day! The center offers a fantastic SUP program, surfboards, body boards, and skimboards to guests for the less windy
days, and they also operate a very professional Trekking and
Mountain Bike business, as well as a well-stocked surf shop called
El Nino at the beginning of the bay – all in all a wonderful place that
the whole family will enjoy all year long!

Probably the widest selection of conditions and sources of distraction in Europe. Wild and sophisticated all year round.
The volcanic island of Fuerteventura is 90 km off of the African coast, and
40% of the Island is National Park. Thousands of years worth of sand
blown from the Sahara has given Fuerteventura 200 km of deserted golden sandy beaches and the label “Europe’s Only Desert”. At sunset
sleepy sand dunes are offset by stunning red, ochre and purple landscapes. A large choice of venues and conditions make Fuerteventura a fantastic all year destination for windsurfers, kiters and surfers alike.

FBC Fuerteventura (Flag Beach) is at the northern tip of the island
on a beautiful 10 km stretch of Natural Reserve facing Isla de Lobos
and Lanzarote. The north east trade winds blow side shore from the
left, increasing throughout the day. The best windsurfing is to be had
between May and August when the winter swells have progressively
given way to flat water/bump and jump conditions, but great windsurfing in varying conditions can be enjoyed here 365 days a year. The
beach is large and open with an unlimited outer sailing area and is
protected by reefs at both ends. 200 m offshore there is a deep water
reef forming nice waves and swell conditions giving excellent jumping as well as a very smooth introduction for beginner waveriders.
There is a sand launch area between two shallow reefs in front of the
center with slight shorebreak. The wind is more unpredictable in the
winter as trade winds move further south, but this is when the best
waves can be enjoyed.

THE CENTER
There is a new center since 2010, which is open all year round. It is
stocked with the latest Fanatic and North Sails kit and also offers
kiting and surfing safaris and instruction. FBC Fuerte is the only
center on the island where you can take your rental kit off-site and
visit some of the fantastic wave spots around like Glas Beach and
Cotillo, either alone or guided. The spot is more suited to intermediate and advanced level windsurfers. In the summer beginners are
taken by short transfer to Cotillo and taught on a protected double
lagoon which is always super flat. The water is clear and shallow with
a sandy bottom – the perfect learning environment and a truly beautiful untouched bay.

away from the beautiful beach. The FBC Center is about 2,5 km away adn
can easily be reached by rental car. The spacious Junior Suites are comfortably and tastefully furnished, all with bacony or terrace. WiFi is available at the hotel at an extra charge.

Surfing features highly here too, and Jean Seb is dedicated to the
younger generation. He has formed a surfing association (SMX
Waterboys and Watergirls) and is a creator of young surf champions
all over the Caribbean. You can also enjoy the new Fanatic SUP on
offer at the center and finally walk on water!
Professional kitesurfing instruction is also offered, but kitesurfing is
prohibited in Gallion Bay. Instead guests are taken to “Little Kay”, a
sandy spit protected from waves and offering standing areas with no
rocks or current, for guaranteed progress.

The well-kept and peaceful 4-star hotel is located in Les Trois Ilets directly on the beach in the immediate vicinity of the marina. The FBC Center
is set in the grounds of this hotel. A restaurant, bar and beach bar offer
culinary delicacies. Free sunbeds and umbrellas are available at the pool
sunbathing area and on the private beach. The 201 rooms are distributed
among several two-storey buildings in large tropical palm gardens. They

THE SPOT
FBC Martinique (Windsurf Club Martinique) is located at the Pointe
du Bout on the tip of a semi- island facing the Capital, Fort de France.
The center is in the peaceful grounds of the Hotel Carayou set in
impressive palm tree gardens directly at the waters edge. The north
east trade winds blow on/side-on from the left and at 90 degrees to
the whole sailing area. The main wind period is from the beginning of
December until the end of April, but FBC Martinique is open all year
round and June and July also offer some of the best and windiest
days of the year. There is a small launching area in front of the center
with waist high flat water and soft sand under foot. This area is slightly protected from the wind and is excellent for entry level and kids.
Outside this area is where the fun really begins! The sailing area is
large and safe with easy freeride conditions. You sail from the center
in the direction of a deep green mangrove. Just before this (about
400 m from the center) is a shallow (waist high) sand bank, perfect
for waterstart and gybe training, or even for taking a well deserved
break! A long wooden jetty runs from the center building out to the
sailing area and it’s a great place for watching the action and taking
pictures as your friends fly past!

THE CENTER
The center is stocked with Fanatic boards and North rigs and is very
spacious with a chill out deck, surfers bar and changing facilities. The
rigging and preparation area around the center is in grass and mostly shaded. The water is warm and so is the wind – you can’t ask for
much more! Also on offer for you: kitesurfing instruction, wakeboarding, sea kayaks and more! If all of this is not enough to make your
experience in Martinique one to remember, then leave the rest to the
manager Guillaume. We guarantee you will not want to leave this

The FBC Tobago center at Pigeon Point is about 30 minutes away (by
foot). The well kept hotel is surrounded by lush vegetation and green
gardens and there is a cosy pool with sun terrace. Guests are accommodated in cabanas surrounding the pool, or in the garden rooms which are
more quiet and secluded. All rooms are equipped with king size bed,
queen size bed or twin beds, shower/WC, air conditioning, safe and a
small terrace.

WIND AND WEATHER
THE SPOT
FBC Tobago – (Radical Sports Tobago) is situated directly on a pure
white sandy beach in the grounds of the stunning Pigeon Point
Heritage Park on the south west of the island. It’s a superb freeride spot
with stunning colours and easy riding, great for beginner and intermediate windsurfers, as well as for kitesurfers. There is a varying wind
direction with wind strength usually between 3-5 bft, blowing mainly
sideshore from the right (east), standing area, flat water on the inside
and small chops on the outside. The launch is easy - sandy and overall
extremely safe, and a full rescue service is provided at the spot. The
swimming area is to the left of center, and swimming is forbidden in
front of the center. A jet ski is planned for 2012-13 to develop tow-in
surfing on the outside breaks.

The center is a solid wooden construction with lots of shade, perfectly
located directly on the beach just a few steps from the waters’ edge and
at a point going into the water so you can sail with wind directions spreading 180°. There are toilets and showers, beach bars and restaurants,
other water sports and boat trips all there for the taking at this little piece
of paradise, where a fun and friendly team is waiting to welcome you.
