Take care of our bodies: eat healthy, stay active by walking, get plenty of rest. Take care of our minds: enjoy music, read a good book, watch a movie that makes you laugh. Take care of our spirits: spend time with family, friends, and pets, meditate, and pray. Before you know it, it’s spring! 7 Jokes for the month: “The Earring” A man is at work one day when he notices that his co-worker is wearing an earring. This man knows his co-worker to be a normally conservative fellow, and is curious about his sudden change in “fashion sense”. The man walks up to him and says, “I didn’t know you were into earrings.” Don’t make such a big deal, it’s only an earring,” he replies sheepishly. His friend falls silent for a few minutes, but then his curiosity prods him to say, “So, how long have you been wearing one?” “Ever since my wife found it in my truck.” 8 Little words of inspiration: All things grow with love. People who have no time don’t think. The more you think, the more time you have. A Lenten Reflection Give up complaining—focus on gratitude. Give up pessimism—become an optimist. Give up harsh judgments—think kindly thoughts Give up worry—trust Divine Providence. Give up discouragement—be full of hope. Give up bitterness—turn to forgiveness. Give up hatred—return good for evil. Give up negativism—be positive. Give up anger—be more patient. Give up pettiness—become mature. Give up gloom—enjoy the beauty that is all around you. Give up jealousy—pray for trust. Give up gossiping—control your tongue. Give up sin—turn to virtue. Give up giving up—hang in there! 9 The Wisdom People of St. Daniel would like to thank the Lyncourt Community Band and the directors, Tony DeAngelis, Ron Nuzzo and Ray Sturge,, and The Harmony Katz, Syracuse’s own barbershop harmony chorus, directed by Pete Carentz.
