OWN THE LAKE - Skyline Resort Communities
OWN THE LAKE
FOUR SEASONS FOR
SO MANY REASONS
OWN WHERE
DEERHURST
MEETS THE
LAKE
Part of Skyline’s $500 million Deerhurst Master Plan,
Lakeside Lodge is the first - and last - waterfront
condominium opportunity at the resort. Its Muskokainspired architecture will rise majestically for five
light-filled storeys on the shoreline of Peninsula Lake.
Quality stone and brick construction. Elegant suites
with balconies and patios with views of Sunset Bay
on one side and Peninsula Lake on the other. There
can only ever be one Lakeside Lodge.
OWN A ROUND OF GOLF
DEERHURST
VILLAGE
CENTRE 2024
The $500 Million Master Plan for Deerhurst includes
a new Village Centre with boutiques and restaurants,
coffee shops and lively patios and welcoming bars
with live music and dancing. All locally owned and
operated. The Main St. of the Village will slope gently
downhill with a spectacular view of Sunset Bay and a
new kayak and canoe dock. We envision a Farmer’s
Market and a central fountain, strolling minstrels and
acrobats. A place for photo opportunities for weddings
or for the many families who will just stop by to visit.
There will be a Grand Hotel with an anti-aging spa, a
skating rink with views of the golf course next door,
the Pavilion, the Bay, Peninsula Lake, Fairy Lake and
the glorious pine and granite hills of Muskoka.
OWN
DEERHURST

Since 1896, Deerhurst has been an elegant escape
for generation after generation of families drawn by
the hush of the forest, the gentle waves on Peninsula
Lake and the storied history of this world renowned
resort. It is all here and it can all be yours. The glorious
setting. The world of activities. The inspired cuisine.
The magical shows that launched Shania Twain’s career.
Whole Ownership waterfront condos are coming to
Deerhurst Resort. Named one of Canada’s top 10
waterfront hotels for 2014. Make it part of your family
tradition forever!

DEERHURST RESORT
OWN MUSKOKA
There is one magical place that brings together everything
that has made this Muskoka legend world famous. A place
to enjoy endless activities year-round, where rolling green
fairways are just through the trees and the waves of Peninsula
Lake lap gently outside your front door. Where spring
is full of promise, autumn is a splendor, and winter is
a wonderland of skiing and snowboarding, skating and
snowmobiling, dog sledding and sleigh rides. It’s a place
where a lifetime of enjoyment is just waiting for you.
HUNTSVILLE,
CLOSE
ENOUGH FOR
COMFORT
At Deerhurst, the ancient rock and pine of Muskoka are
right outside your door and the all charm of Huntsville
is just around the corner. You’re five minutes away
from quaint shops, restaurants, bars, grocery stores,
a first rate hospital, library, parks, trails and a world
of things to do 12 months a year including numerous
festivals, art shows, the Algonquin Theatre, Muskoka
Heritage Place and the University of Waterloo. And
close by, the majesty of Algonquin Park.
YOUR ESCAPE
FROM THE
WORLD
The scent of coffee brewing in the kitchen draws you
from the comfort of your Master Suite past the fireplace
in the living room and out to the balcony where the
morning sun warms your favourite Muskoka chair. Trees
rustle in the wind. Toast pops and dishes rattle. It’s
morning at Deerhurst and you think, “every day should
be like this”. And then you smile; because it is.

A determined visionary, Gil Blutrich has an aptitude for seeing opportunities where others don’t. After
founding Skyline International Development Inc. in 1998 with the intention of building his company
into one of Canada’s leading property development firms, the company quickly acquired prime
Toronto properties such as the Pantages Hotel. By focusing on historic properties for nearly 20 years,
renovating their existing hotels and residential units, and then expanding their residential and retail
footprint with an emphasis on turning them into lifestyle communities, has transformed Skyline into
one of Canada’s hottest developers. Skyline acquired its first resort-worthy property in 2007, the
stunning 825-acre Port McNicoll near Midland, Ont. With a pristine deep-water harbour and huge
potential, Skyline quickly began redevelopment. In 2008, Skyline acquired the 680-acre Horseshoe
Resort and is putting in place an ambitious redevelopment vision including 116 condo suites, new
Horseshoe Resort and Village, hotel and Shizen Spa wellness centre, and a family-friendly Adventure
Park. Most recently Skyline acquired the 760-acre Deerhurst Resort in Ontario’s pristine Muskoka
region, which was host to the 2010 G8 Summit. Deerhurst Resort is once again poised to become one
of Canada’s most dynamic destinations. By 2011, Skyline entered the US market by purchasing the
Hyatt Regency and Cleveland Arcade, America’s oldest indoor shopping centre. Skyline purchased
a stake in Toronto’s historic King Edward Hotel and by 2013, transformed three vacant floors of the
hotel into luxury condos. The purchase of Bear Valley Mountain Resort took place in early 2015 after
receiving a permit to operate the resort from the US Forest Service.
In 2013 and 2014 Skyline was proud to be named among Deloitte’s Best Managed Companies in
Canada then recognized in 2015 as one of Hotelier’s Top 50 Hotel Companies. To realize its vision of
developing a four seasons lifestyle approach, Skyline recently introduced an exciting new concept:
Skylife country club, a membership program (for purchase), which provides members and their
immediate families unlimited access to activities such as golf and skiing; deep discounts on spa
services and rooms at the various properties.
