Funeral Liturgies: The “normal” liturgical services for a Catholic are: (1) a Vigil service on the night before the (2) Funeral Mass, which is then followed by the (3) Burial. However, the decisions as to what services are desired are up to the family members. Preplanning services are offered at Christ the King so that each person’s wishes (readings from scripture, music, etc.) can be selected prior to need. This is most often done while the individual is still healthy and able to make their desires known. It can also be revised as often as desired. Grief Support Group meets on Tuesday, November 1st, at 11:00am in the Community Center, Room #1. If you have lost a loved one in death, please join us as we offer support for the bereaved through the difficult holiday season. Knowing what to expect and being prepared can help lessen the emotional impact during the coming weeks.
