Family Night for September on the 17th will
benefit the McPherson County Food Bank.
Get your advance ticket from Legion Post Officers, or in the Post Lounge. Remember, a
full meal of Hamburger, Fries, Drink, and
Dessert is just $5.00 from 5:00pm to 6:30pm.
North Parking Lot - We are currently planning for a dedication ceremony with a dinner
included for October 3rd. More details to follow in next month’s newsletter.
The Mural 12’ x 56’ to be installed on the
North Wall is just about complete. We are
hoping it can be installed by Veterans Day.
We are trying hard to make that happen.
Wednesday Meals - there will be no Wednesday meal in this month.
Legion Baseball - Congratulations to our
baseball teams as they had a great year and
brought home several trophy’s.
September is here again and we always need
to remember the 11th. We lost over 3000
American lives on that day in 2001. We have
lost many more in the wars. Out of respect
and gratitude, we need to take a moment to
remember all of the soldiers that gave their
blood, sweat, and tears serving in our military
to preserve the freedoms that we enjoy today.
Next Post Meeting - September 21st at
7:00pm.
Auxiliary Notes
Tresa Rauh, President
Next Meeting - Sept. 7th @ 7:00pm at the Post Home.
Our meeting on Sept. 7th will be our yearly membership dinner. Please plan on coming up and bring a covered dish to
share.
Our membership drive for 2016 will be starting soon. Please
pay your 2015 dues if you haven’t already.
We have 2 Auxiliary members and 2 Junior Auxiliary members that attended the Junior National Convention on Aug.
27-31st. We expect a great report from them at our Sept.
meeting.
Sons of American Legion
David Redger, SAL Commander
Our annual Steak Fry dinner will be September 12, the
cost is $15.00 and this includes a 12oz KC Strip steak
that you can cook yourself or have one of our cooks
prepare it for you, plus you get all the trimmings. Tickets are available from SAL members and in the
Lounge. If you want to help with this event please contact Vail or myself.
Thanks to those that have sent in your membership
renewal. If you haven’t done so yet, please renew as
soon as possible. Thank you for your support.
Next Meeting - September 22nd at 7:30 pm.
Legion Rider Rumbles
Jeff Peterson, Director
Our September meeting will have us finalizing plans for our
fall fund raiser in October on the 17th. Please attend this
meeting so that we can get all the volunteers on board to
make this a fantastic fund raiser. Specific details on meal and
time will be in next months’ article.
Watch your emails for upcoming rides.
Next Meeting - Sept. 27th at 1:00 pm. in the Post Lounge.
