March, 2016 - American Legion
“Membership Goal for 2016 is 683” NEW Members ARE THE KEY - Be a Sponsor Gen Mbr Mtg Membership is now 648 - Renew Now Hello to all, I want to thank all who worked the Pot Roast Dinner and the Ash Wednesday Fish Sandwiches events. Thanks again. Now it’s time to talk about March. Commander Mark’s favorite time of the year. St Patrick, Shamrocks, Green Beer and plenty of “Blarney”. What a beautiful thing. The Cicero American Legion will once again be in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday March 12th. Last year we made our initial splash in the Parade. We were the talk of the day. We all had a great time and this year we’ll be even bigger and better. So, get some green and come out ‘cause we’re looking for more walkers. The following day, Sunday March 13th, we continue the festivities with our Annual Corned Beef and Cabbage or Ham & Cabbage Dinner along with our Ham Raffle. Come on out and enjoy a great day with all your Legion Lepricons. Dinner starts at 1PM until 5PM or gone. Save the date. Thursday, March 17th, is St. Patrick’s Day. My favorite Day. I hope everyone has a Happy St. Patrick’s Day. Our normal General Membership Meeting (third Thursday of month) will be postponed until the following Thursday, March 24th, for all of us Irish People. Enjoy your day. Saturday, March 19th, we host the Town of Cicero Easter Egg Hunt and the Son’s have their ‘Breakfast with the Easter Bunny”. Sunday, March 27th, from 8 - 11 AM, we have our Annual Easter Breakfast for our Legion Family. That’s always a great day. Quarters will be closed on Easter Sunday. I’d like to wish our entire Legion Family a Happy and Blessed Easter. Reminder … next General Membership Meeting is Thursday March 24th. Hope to see you all soon at the Legion. Come in often and become an active member.
