Asian Traditional Music & Dance Festival
@Bangkok, Thailand (2nd – 5th February 2006)
In conjunction with the “Wai Khru” Paying respect to Teachers
Ceremonies, an Asian Traditional Music & Dance festival was
conducted with recommendation from the IOV-Korea & Asia.
Sri Warisan was selected to be part of the festival, seminars and
demonstrations in music & dance. 7 performers were selected
with Adel Ahmad as the Head of delegation & speaker. Beautiful experiences especially a wonderful audience and support
from students of Srinakharinwirot University.
3rd International Folk Festival Kathmandu, Nepal
(17th – 26th March 2006)
This was the first time Sri Warisan was invited to participate in
the 3rd International Folk Festival in Kathmandu, Nepal. A
good experience to the performers especially transportation,
weather & people. 6 delegates was selected for this festival.
More than 30,000 audiences were mesmerized by Singapore
performance. Congratulations!

Batam National Day Event
@Batam, Indonesia (25th August 2006)
Once again a commissioned work from Singapore Tourism
Board brings Sri Warisan to Batam Indonesia at the National
Day Event. This is the 2nd year Sri Warisan performed in Batam
for the same event. Singapore Muti Ethnic Dance Ensemble with
Sri Warisan, Apsaras Arts, Dance Ensemble Singapore and Jigria
collaborated in the intergrated performance with ‘Harmony’,
‘weave’ and ‘Unity in Diversity’.

Festival Budaya Melayu Internasional
@Tanjung Pinang, Indonesia (11th – 16th Sept
A special invitation from Mr Husnizar Hood, from the provincial
Kepulauan Riau. 5 days in Tg Pinang with various activities ncluding seminars, workshops, dance competitions and gala performances. Sri Warisan shared the same stage with other Indonesia provinces and Sriwana from Singapore. With only 8 delegates from Sri
Warisan, a beautiful performance was presented with Zapin dance
& song including the historical ‘Zapin Telok Blangah’.

Pesta Gendang Nusantara IX 2006 Malacca,
Malaysia (11th – 16th April 2006)
The invitation from Historic Melaka City Council, brought Sri
Warisan once again at the Pesta Gendang Nusantara IX in the
year 2006. With 20 performers from Sri Warisan, a grandure
performance was presented at the GALA Nite. The performance was well received by the local & International audience.
