LABORATORY FOR RESEARCH - MEDICAL FACULTY OF PODGORICA MORPHOLOGICAL GROUP OF SUBJECTS Automated Upright Microscope system for Life Science Research Leica DM4000 B Compatible with a variety of userfriendly software packages and camera systems, the Leica DM4000 B is the ideal microscope for life science research and clinical applications. The DM4000 B with Intelligent Automation features a coded 6x or 7x nosepiece, manual zfocus, and fully automated transmittedand fluorescence axis. All microscope settings are saved and displayed to provide reproducible results. Leica Microsystems’ Contrast Manager supports the transmitted light (brightfield, darkfield, phase contrast and polarization contrast) and fluorescence contrast methods and allows the user to switch from one contrast method to another with one push of a button. Based on the selected objective and contrast method, all necessary adjustments are automatically done. Clearly arranged status display The large, logically arranged display of the Leica DM4000 B shows all microscope settings at a glance – a convenience unmatched in this microscope class Automated transmitted light axis Features a fully automated transmitted light axis for brightfield, darkfield, phase, and polarization contrast. Automatic Koehler light management ensures the best image quality and reproducible results. The microscope detects the selected objective and the contrast method, and then automatically sets the optimal values for aperture, field diaphragm, and light intensity. The user can adjust these values at any time and the modified values are automatically stored. The Leica‘s patented Constant Color Intensity Control (CCIC) maintains constant color temperature when changing the light intensity- always the same color of the image and the white balance that is normally required for digital camera use is now a thing of a past Automated fluorescence axis Features a fully automated fluorescence axis with apochromatically-corrected optical path for high contrast, brilliant images at a touch of a button: • motorized 5-position filter cube turret, motorized field diaphragm and fast motorized shutter • patented Fluorescence Intensity Management (Leica FIM) Leica’s unique Zero Pixel Shift filter cube technology ensures perfect image alignment of multiple fluorescence proteins. Fluorescence Intensity Manager Leica Microsystems’ unique patented Fluorescence Intensity Manager (FIM) provides fast, accurate, and reproducible adjustment of the fluorescence illumination to effectively protect the specimen from photo bleaching. FIM remembers the setting for each filter cube - for fast and absolutely reproducible results. Six function keys Assign any function to the six function keys, located behind the focus knobs - frequently used functions are always within easy reach, without having to look away from the specimen. BC-418 Segmental Body Composition Analyzer The addition of hand grips to Tanita's standard platformbased electrode system allows the BC-418 body composition analyzer to calculate regional body composition, empowering healthcare professionals to better determine health risk associated with visceral and abdominal fat. Tanita is proud to introduce a significant improvement to the calculation of Basal Metabolic Rate. Instead of simply relying on weight, age, and gender, Tanita's proprietary formula takes into account Fat Free Mass, providing a higher level of accuracy compared to current BMR. Through the use of 8 polar electrodes, the Tanita BC-418 Segmental Body Composition Analyzer can show separate body mass readings for the right arm, left arm, trunk, right leg and left leg. It also prints out a complete body composition profile in seconds: including Weight, Body Fat Percentage, Body Fat Mass, Body Mass Index (BMI), Fat Free Mass, Estimated Muscle Mass, Total Body Water and Basal Metabolic Rate. The all-in-one compact column mount design, with integrated printer, makes the BC-418 perfect for use in small, dedicated spaces. Tanita's professional Body Composition Analyzers provide weight and a complete body composition analysis in less than 30 seconds. All professional models use a single-point load cell weighing system in the scale platform to guarantee absolute precision and unbelievable longevity (up to 300, 000 uses before calibration.) Leica HI1220 Flattening table The Leica HI1220 flattening table has a large jet black aluminum work surface to provide high thermal conductivity rates and outstanding resistance to mechanical manipulations. Temperatures ranging from ambient to 75°C can be selected, with work surface temperatures above 44°C being indicated by a flashing LED, to guard against overheating of specimens. The programmed, as well as the current, temperatures are displayed on the instrument and the set values are memorized via a built-in battery backup system. Leica HI1210 Water bath The Leica HI1210 is a water bath with a surface that provides high thermal conductivity rates and outstanding scratch resistance due to its special plastic coating. Temperatures can be selected between ambient and 75°C. To increase safety and reliability the Leica HI1210 features an overheating protection system along with a stand-by mode. The broad, oversized rim of the water bath allows convenient storage for microscope slides, and the rounded inner corners of the instrument allow it to be cleaned easily and efficiently.
