CAN YOU FOSTER?
We have limited resources and a severe shortage of foster homes. Do
you have a small space in your home and a bit of time to spare? Can you
help us to help more Bullies in need of Rescue?
Sadly, there are always dogs out there in horrible situations, crying out for
our help – but we need foster homes to be able to help them!
TGCBT Rescue always needs foster homes for dogs who need a place to
recover from spay/neuter surgery and rest up for a week or two until they
get back on their feet and we can find their ideal home. Our foster
homes are supported by friendly volunteers whenever needed – and
appreciated by very grateful dogs! Vet care and medication is provided by
us, as is the dog’s transport, food and other supplies, including crate,
blankets & toys.
All you need to offer is a safe room for the dog to rest in, some regular
exercise and plenty of TLC. Fostering is a hugely rewarding experience
and it could be a way of finding the Bullie of your dreams…
If you are interested in adoption, fosters get first dibs on adoption! If you
want to talk more about becoming one of our wonderful Foster families,
please contact us at: [email protected]

ADOPT-A-BULLIES
LUCKY EDDIE / MALE / 2 YRS
WEIGHT: 46lbs
☑ HOUSEBROKEN
☑ CRATE TRAINED
☑ LEASH TRAINED
HEARTWORM NEGATIVE
Lucky Eddie came to us from the Palm Valley
Animal Center in the Rio Grande Valley, thanks to a
dedicated rescuer and Pilots N Paws! Eddie was
kenneled with another dog at the shelter, and so
far, sounds like a keeper.
More to come as we learn more about this ‘lucky’
guy.
ADOPT-A-BULLIES
TORRO / MALE / 2 YRS
WEIGHT: 40lbs
☑ HOUSEBROKEN
☑ CRATE TRAINED
☑ LEASH TRAINED
HEARTWORM NEGATIVE
Torro was found stray by a Good Samaritan a
couple weeks ago. This young guy is very energetic
and was too playful for his finder’s senior labs. We
know he needs to learn some manners, but he
walks decently on a leash and is super sweet!
Torro is in foster care while we learn more about
him.
ADOPT-A-BULLIES
LIZZIE / FEMALE / 1.5 YR
WEIGHT: 30LBS
☑ HOUSEBROKEN
☑ CRATE TRAINED
☑ LEASH TRAINED
HEARTWORM NEGATIVE
Busy Lizzie is an excessively happy dog without a grouchy
bone in her body! She is living with Pegg and her 10 year
old male BT, and has done well with several other female
fosters who have passed through Pegg’s home.
She has rightfully earned her nickname – she gets into
everything, can be a bit of a pest and will need an
understanding home (and a well matched doggy friend).
Pegg thinks she is a delight and is perfectly happy to
hold onto her until the right home comes along.
ADOPT-A-BULLIES
PANZER / MALE / 5 MOS
WEIGHT: 30lbs
☑ HOUSEBROKEN
☑ CRATE TRAINED
☑ LEASH TRAINED
HEARTWORM NEGATIVE
Panzer came to us after his owner’s husband dumped
him on the opposite side of town, unknown to the wife –
fortunately, he was found by a Good Samaritan, who
worked to find his family, and then delivered him to
rescue when his owners sadly did not take him back.
Panzer is in a foster-to-adopt home, and we hope
things continue to go well for him.
ADOPT-A-BULLIES
FLOWER / FEMALE / 3 YRS
WEIGHT: 45lbs
☑ HOUSEBROKEN
☑ CRATE TRAINED
☑ LEASH TRAINED
HEARTWORM POSITIVE
*WILL BE TREATED BY RESCUE AT NO COST TO
ADOPTER
Flower (“Flo” to her friends) is a sweet gal who was
found by one of our volunteers. Flo is very gentle
for a bullie (taking treats, sitting to have leash put
on etc), is not "mouthy" and walks fairly well on
leash. She enjoys rolling in the wet grass on early
morning walks. She gets excited when she sees
other dogs but soon settles down to continue her
walk.
ADOPT-A-BULLIES
PEGGY SUE / FEMALE / 2-3
YRS
WEIGHT: 45-50lbs
☑ HOUSEBROKEN
☑ CRATE TRAINED
☑ LEASH TRAINED
HEARTWORM POSITIVE
*WILL BE TREATED BY RESCUE AT NO COST TO
ADOPTER
Peggy Sue is an average sized girl with liver
coloring. She is living with 2 other Bull Terriers in a
foster home (an older male and a young female)
and does well with them. She knows some
commands already and is overall a very happy gal.
She has begun treatment for her heartworms and is
taking it easy in foster care.
WHO HUCKLEBUTTED ON THE COUCH?
SURELY NOT LAVENDER… :-)
Please consider helping us by visiting our Amazon.Com Wish List and
contributing some much-needed items to help our cause – food,

If you would like to make a donation to help our Rescue efforts, we are a
501(c)(3) public charity in the State of Texas and the full amount of any
contributions are deductible for federal income tax purposes. Please
consider donating to support our efforts to help bullies in need. A tax
donation receipt will be sent in response to all gifts if requested. A donation
can be made via the PayPal button on our website – www.texasbullterrier.org
– click on the “Rescue” tab.
We typically take in, rehabilitate and re-home over 50 bull terriers every year.
Our efforts are conducted entirely by volunteers and we depend on public
support in order to continue our day to day operations. Every penny of
donated funds goes towards veterinary needs and daily care of the bullies in
our program. Adoption fees only cover a portion of our expenses. Many of
the dogs we take in are malnourished, sick, injured or have been abused, so
you can imagine that our expenses are high - but we believe that if an
animal has the courage to survive the abuse it has been dealt, it deserves
medical treatment and a loving home for its remaining years.
