Anemones
Anemone coronaria is also known as the Poppy
Anemone as it looks rather like a poppy with its
saucer shaped flowers with dark centres. Single
and double flowers are framed by ferny foliage.
Successive planting from February to May will result
in extra-long flowering. For the best results they
should be chilled for 5-6 weeks then soaked in fresh
water for 6-7 hours prior to planting. Avoid higher
soil temperatures, 12-15 degrees Celsius is ideal.
