Kinky Boots at Bank of America Theatre. The World Premier of an
exciting new musical will be lighting up the Chicago stage October 2.
This inspiring story centers around, a sassy drag queen, who becomes
the unlikely savior of a shoemaker whose family business is falling flat.
Featuring a new score by Grammy Award-winning pop icon Cyndi Lauper

Oktoberfest 2012
♦12-14 The Berghoff: In it’s 27th year, this is the largest and longest
running Oktoberfest in Chicago and this year will host an entire monthlong clebration inside the restaurant. Don’t miss the tapping of the keg on
Sept. 6 or raffles and door prizes throughout the day with proceeds
benefiting Mercy Home for Boys & Girls. Also, enjoy performances by
Johnny Wagner band and other festivities through out the month.
OktoberFest 2012, Munich Germany
Now in its 179th year & celebrating its 202nd birthday, Oktoberfest is
the largest music and beer festival in the world.

♦28-30 Oktoberfest Chicago: In it’s 12th year, at St. Alphonsus Roman
Catholic Church celebrates the forthcoming change of season. It’s all about
the beer, brats and tons of fun. With two stages of music and activites for
the kids, you won’t want to miss!
Oktoberfest begins with a parade led by the Mayor of Munich & the
Munchner Kindl and ceremonies begin at noon when the first keg is
tapped by the Mayor of Munich.
Looking for great food to include great beer in a fun all German atmostphere? Visit the North Central/Lincoln Square area for German restaurants
and bars, including favorites such as Chicago Brauhaus, Resi’s Bierstub or
Laschet’s Inn. Contact your CUI Concierge for reservations at a restaurant of your choice.
♦ Schottenhamel - Pure Tradition: The largest and most important tent of
the Wiesn, everything starts inside this tent. Opening day, at 12 noon, the
Mayor of Munich, Christian Ude will tap the first keg and call out “O’zapft is!”
confirming that the tapping was successful. It is only after this that all other
tents may begin to serve beer.

♦22-23 Stradford Hall Wine Festival: Stratford Hall, Stratford, VA
Wine tastings from 11 wineries including 6 new to the festival this year.
