Sophisticate’s Hairstyle Guide was on the scene at The Wit Hotel this morning to watch
the semi­finals of the Mario Tricoci Hair Salons & Day Spas’ “Mario Make Me A Model”
contest. After an open call for models brought in 300 potential contestants, the list was
pared down to 40 semi­finalists, who strutted their stuff on the runway during this
morning’s event. (Check out our Instagram page @sophisticateshairstyleguide to see
video clips!) In the end, 7 finalists were chosen (pictured above, with mane master Mario
Tricoci). All will be put through model and fitness training over the course of the next nine
weeks, and receive a beauty makeover from Mario Tricoci Hair Salons & Day Spas. Five
finalists will then compete in a fashion show on August 26th, ending with one final winner.
