Welcome!
Welcome to the fifth annual St. John Lutheran Church and School Dinner
Auction. We have planned another great evening of fellowship that we share
in Christ Jesus our Lord. This year the proceeds of our auction will be used
to fund the Capital Improvement Fund (parking lot) and the replacement of
the gym floor. Please consider this in your bidding.
I’d like to thank the entire Dinner Auction committee for their tireless
efforts. Some of these members include Karin Rogers, Bev Harder, Sandee
Stacy, Rhonda Blatner, Doreen Sutherland, and Elsbeth Kaus. The
committee put in many hours preparing for the auction, shopping, preparing
baskets, making arrangements with the fire hall, setting up baskets and
decorations at the fire hall, etc. Karin & Mark Rogers’ living space was once
again minimized as their house became a staging area for all theme baskets.
Thanks also to all the school families, students, St. John congregational
members and businesses that supported this auction through monetary
donations, theme baskets, advertisements and live auction items. Thank you
to everyone who made desserts. This concerted effort makes this auction
possible.
Our desire in this whole process is to give glory to God for the great things
He has done. May God bless our evening together and the proceeds from
this auction that they may be used to the glory of His name.

Auction Rules
Registration
Upon entering the auction, you will receive your bid number. Use only the bid number assigned
to you for bidding on silent and live auction items.
Silent Auction
The Silent Auction opens at 4:00 PM. The minimum bid and minimum raise for each item is
written on the bid sheet by the item. To be valid, bids must comply with these minimums and be
legible.
To place a bid, sign your name and bid number with your bid amount on the bid sheet. Doing so
constitutes a legal contract to purchase that silent auction item at the price you stated if your bid is
the winning bid. The last (highest) valid bid entered prior to the section closing will be the
winning bid.
A maximum guaranteed bid is stated on each bid sheet. By signing your name and bid number in
this box, the bidding closes. The item is yours.
The Auction Committee reserves the right to withdraw any item at any time without notice before
the actual sale. In the event of a dispute, the Auction Committee shall act as final authority in
determining the winning bid.
Live Auction
Live Auction bidding will begin at 8:00 PM. When bidding, please hold up your bid number
toward the auctioneer. The Live Auction will continue until all items are sold.
If a group is bidding on one item, please designate one person to place your combined bid.
Auction items will be awarded to one purchaser only.
A bid acknowledged by the auctioneer is a legal contract to purchase the item.
Payment
All items must be paid for by the end of the evening. For your convenience we gladly accept
Cash and Check.
Pick-Up
Once you have paid for your winning items, you will be issued a receipt. Please present this
receipt at the Pick-Up Table to claim your winning tangible items and/or certificates for services.
It is the responsibility of the purchaser to locate and remove his/her winning item(s) by the end of
the auction.
Terms of Sale
Unless otherwise noted, all certificates for goods and services must be used within one year of the
auction date. All items and services are subject to the terms and conditions specified by the
donors.
All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds. The St. John Lutheran does not make
any expressed or implied warranties or guarantees on auction items regarding quality or value of
items or services. St. John Lutheran has attempted to describe and catalog all items correctly, but
all items are offered and sold "AS IS" and "WITH ALL FAULTS."
St. John Lutheran neither warrants nor represents, and in no event shall be responsible for the
correctness of descriptions, genuineness, authorship, provenance or condition of the items. No
statement made in this catalog or made orally at the auction or elsewhere shall be deemed such a
warranty for tax purposes or market value. Items have not been appraised unless otherwise noted.
Reservations for trips and vacation accommodations must be mutually arranged with the donor
unless otherwise noted. No refunds will be allowed on travel packages for canceled tickets and/or
accommodations.
By the buyer's purchase, the buyer waives any claim for liability against St. John Lutheran, its
elected and appointed officials, members and employees, sponsors, volunteers connected with the
auction, and/or the donor of the item. Neither the St. John Lutheran nor the donor is responsible
for any personal injuries or damage that may result from the use of the property or services.
Tax Information
This catalog lists the fair market value of each item. Any amount you pay in excess of the fair
market value would normally be available to you as a charitable contribution for tax purposes.

way in the workshop from Johanna Haida, in

Thuringia Forest in Germany. Fur is of
100% mohair and naturally stuffed with
wood wool. Bear is approx. 24" tall. Has
Johanna Haida on one paw, and the name

picture of Dale Earnhardt Sr. and his race
cars is a fantastic memorabilia of a legend.
Dale Earnhardt Sr. was on the final lap of
the Daytona 500 on Feb. 18, 2001, in the
final stretch drive when he got into a
horrendous accident with Sterling Marlin.
He died from head trauma and the Nascar
community suffered one of the most tragic
deaths in its history. Because of the nature
his death, the Hans device was created
which is a piece of equipment that holds the
driver's head in place, and protects them
during unexpected impacts.

Alumni Weekend Poster
Former Bills quarterback Daryle Lamonica
and some of the other star performers
Buffalo has faced were featured at the Bills
Alumni Foundation's annual 2012 weekend
of events. "Greatest Rivals" was the theme
of the celebration and attending the event
were Pro Football Hall of Famers Len
Dawson, Anthony Munoz, Elvin Bethea and
Roger Wehrli as well as All-Pros L.C.
Greenwood, Albert Lewis and Lamonica.
During its American Football League
championship years, Buffalo had no bigger
rival, perhaps, than Dawson, the quarterback
of the Kansas City Chiefs and their
predecessor, the Dallas Texans. The Bills
were unbeaten against Dallas/ Kansas City
for eight games from 1962 through 1965,
but Dawson got his revenge when he led the
Chiefs to a 31-7 victory over Buffalo in the
1966 AFL championship game at War
Memorial Stadium.

used their first round draft pick in 1973 on
Joe DeLamielleure, an All-America guard
from Michigan State. He quickly proved he
could compete at the NFL level by earning
All-Rookie honors. A cog of the Bills'
famed "Electric Company" offensive line,
Joe D and his linemates "turned on the
juice" helping O.J. Simpson become the first
player in NFL history to rush for 2,000

named All-Pro six straight times, 1975-1980
and was selected to six Pro Bowls. A
