We use the preposition of place to show where someone or something is. PLACE/POSITION [ in (inside) ] Jack is in the box. The books are in the bag. Peter is in the box. The teacher is in front of me. 5 PREPOSITION OF PLACE/POSITION. We use the preposition of place to show where someone or something is. PLACE/POSITION [ ON (streets, avenues, roads, circuits, etc.) ] My house is on 3rd street (St.). Walt-mart is on Fuentes Mares Avenue (Ave.). Michael´s restaurant is on East Road (Rd.). [ AT (specific places, parks, buildings, etc.) ] Turn left at the police station. Turn right at the park. My house is at the blue building. PREPOSITION OF PLACE/MOVEMENT. between / along / 6 beside / across from. PLACE/MOVEMENT [ between (2 references) ] Chihuahua is between Coahuila and Sonora. DON’T SPEAK!!! We form the imperative with the base form of the verb. - Write in your notebooks!!! - Close your books!!! We form the negative form with don’t + base form of the verb. - Don’t speak!!! - Don’t cry!!! Open your books, please. We use the imperative form to ask someone to do something. - Talk in pairs.
