We would like to thank you for your interest and we are sincerely grateful to be
in this business. We are as excited as everyone else in the industry right now with
the unprecedented record highs. The excitement that we are seeing and feeling
from everyone in the industry is very rewarding. It is a lot easier to sleep at night
knowing that the asset you have outside your door is worth something for the first
time in a long time. It makes all the hard work and sacrifices that we have all made
to be in the ranching business seem worth it.

We have had a lot of growth again this year. This opportunity came about
from three respectable breeders in the Angus Industry. Last spring we got some
pairs and bred heifers from Todd & Debbie David of Rocky Mountain Red
Angus. Also at that same time we got some pairs from Najeb & Lila
Krameddine of K-DEEN Angus Farm. You will see some of the yearling bulls in the sale with
different tattoo’s and they are from both these breeders and they came to us as calves at the side of
their mothers. And late last fall we picked up some cows and bred heifers from Bryan & Sherry
Mackenzie of Brylor Ranch. The most exciting part is that all of these animals have only
strengthened our herd quality with their strong maternal traits and capability to put the power and
production into their calves, and we hope that you guys are the first ones to experience this. We
hope this takes us to the next level of what we can offer you in our genetics. We never want to
stop improving and get stagnant.
With all of this growth there are definitely some growing pains and we feel them, but we
never give up on our personal mission to improve on everything in our business from start to finish. From cattle nutrition to herd management to our selection criteria. Every year we are striving for continual improvement and we hope that you see that in our bulls on offer this spring.

It is truly an honor and a blessing to be involved with such good people as Hugh & Jo are. The passion and
exuberance they show towards the cattle industry is a breath of fresh air as they charge forward... and let me tell
you, they are moving onward and upward and have everyone’s attention right now in the Angus World – both
Red & Black!! They are dedicated to this breed and want to keep fueling the industry with as good a product as
they can produce. This is honestly the program to watch right now with their march towards the strongest set of
cows they can amass. I am in amazement at how much progress they are achieving and there are no signs of it
slowing down any time soon.
We are going to be breeding 650 head of Red & Black females in the spring of 2015 and our search for the
best genetics is ongoing. Our main pinnacle of success will be championed by our bull sales as that will be our
strongest focus. To raise as many good, sound, industry advancing sale bulls as possible and without compromising anyone’s integrity while doing so – that’s our target!!
Our set of bulls for this 5th Bar 4A Annual Bull Sale is strong from top to bottom. I’ve been to the ranch
twice now – once in September and once in January – and each time I’ve whacked out 20 bulls from the Bull
Sale pens. This group is sound and right and ready to enhance each and everyone of the new owners’ bottom
line. Just because we are on the strongest cattle market in the history of our industry does not mean we will
slack off in our responsibilitys to you, our customers. Buy with confidence!! These bulls are the kind to make

Our top Black bull that we have used for the past several
years. He was a monumental herd bull for the Geis herd and later a
1/2 interest in him sold to KBJ Round at Clyde for $28,000. He’s an impressive son of the best breeding Black Angus bull in Canada, HF Kodiak 5R.
He made such an impact on us here at Bar 4A that we even purchased his
full sister at the Geis dispersal.
Baloo is now deceased but we plan on using his valuable and productive
genetics still through AI.

program. He was cut short in his career though and these will be
his only sons we will ever have to offer. He was the high selling Red bull at
the famous Geis Dispersal at $13,500 and had all kinds of the “big name
rancher’s” bidding on him! His sire, 61W, at Ungers’, is now a household
Red Angus name bull. His semen in Denver 2015 was selling upwards of
$450 US a straw!! Outcross genetics through his dam who was a Black

Angus bulls ... Black or Red? Here at Bar 4A we believe the answer to that is not many places have the desire or facilities to handle a group of coming two’s for an extra year!
They are not easy to manage as a group because they are as
hard on each other as young boys can be!!

These two’s we have for the 2015 Bar 4A Bull Sale are big,
strong, masculine bulls and will be able to cover a lot of cows or
heifers for you. The average weight on the entire group of eleven
bulls on February 14th was 2009 lbs. That’s some horsepower
now!
Buy with the utmost of confidence in these bulls because if
they were not worthy of our time in keeping them, they would have
been down the road a long time ago!!
Pretty good kind of a two year old to lead off this section with a modest
84 lb. Birth Weight to a two year old weight of just under a ton!
The hardest year of these bulls’ lives is over with and they have some
extra weight on them for your bonus and it’s on our dime to grow them for
you!

A modest 86 lb. Birth Weight on this good Black Red carrier bull.
Another great Tofteland cow family in the Ruby Senta’s.
It’s hard to follow up a bull like 95A (Lot #72) in a catalogue, but I do
believe that 97A gives it a really good try! He’s a pretty good complete kind
of a bull too.
What hits me about this 2125 lb. package of meat and muscle, is how
strong he is in his front 1/3 of his body. So strong in his chest floor and
blends in through that shoulder and heart girth!
