Introduction
As leaders and team-builders, we all know exposure is the key to our success. Craigslist
ads are a quick and easy way to fill your pipeline with thousands of prospects all actively
looking for income opportunities. When used in combination with your
www.apply.harvardbenefits.com/YourAgentID website, the prospect not only has the
ability to apply for a position with HRMC but may also upload a resume and cover letter,
making the recruiting process feel more natural to the prospect. To begin building your
team via Craigslist or to learn more about the application procedure and posting information, please see the information below.
2
Setting Up Your Career Website
A career website is provided free of charge to all HRMC
agents. Your career website is www.hrmccareers.com/
YourAgentID. You can add a professional photo and
modify the settings of this website under “My Account
Settings” on the Agent Access page under “General” at
www.harvardbenefits.com.
A career website provides a prospect with a 25 minute
overview of the company, our products and some details
about the specific position. There is a website for both
group sales and management. Listed below are the links
for accessing the different career presentations:
Group Sales Recruiting
www.hrmccareers.com/YourAgentID
Management Recruiting
www.overview.hrmccareers.com/YourAgentID
Canadian Group Sales Recruiting
www.ca.hrmccareers.com/YourAgentID
Once your career website is set up, be sure and test the interview form to assure that you are receiving them, before sending your prospects to the career website.
At the end of the online presentation an Interview Request form appears. The prospect can now
complete the Interview Request form, which is emailed directly to you. You can also access a log of
all interview requests received from the Quick Links on the AMS under “Interview Log.” You can
also see a counter of hits to your career websites at the top of the AMS in your pipeline.

Installing Microsoft Office
You will need to have a version of Microsoft Office installed on your computer. You will need access to both the Excel and Outlook programs. If you have a college student or educator in the family
you can obtain a four year license of Office for only $79.99 here. You can purchase a non-student
version of Office 365 here for only $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year. There is also a MAC version of
this program available. If you need technical assistance in installing Microsoft Office, please contact
the Microsoft Office Support Team for 24 hour assistance.
Setting up my Email Through Outlook
The next step is to set up your HRMC email. You can obtain a harvardbenefits.com email address
by clicking here. Once this is set up you can download the instruction page for setting up your email
through Outlook here. Be sure to set this up using the email settings provided by your local internet
provider. Please contact the HRMC Agent Support Team if you need any assistance in setting this
up. You will also need to determine from your local Internet Service Provider (ISP) the amount of
emails that you can send every hour or day.
You also want to take time to prepare a professional email signature.
There are instructions on how to do this here.
Becoming a Harvard Advantage Member
In order to utilize the Agent Management System (AMS) you must be a Harvard Advantage member. The cost of the program is only $19.95 a month. This gives you full access to the Agent Management System (AMS) and the Contact Management System (CMS), as well as several membership
exposure websites and access to our premium email program. To join the Harvard Advantage
please click here.

How the Apply Site Works
1. After clicking on www.apply.harvardbenefits.com/YourAgentID, your prospect is
forwarded to your career information center.
2. In the career information center, the prospect has a chance to upload their cover letter and resume. They are also asked a series of questions which determine what career site they are sent to. After submitting their application they are automatically
opted into your AMS and sent an email with the link to the proper sales/
management career site. A log of all www.apply.harvardbenefits.com prospects can
be viewed in your AMS under View Prospects (see picture below)
3. Once on the career website, your prospect may review a presentation on the HRMC
positions and if interested request an interview. At this point your goal is to conduct
the interview, sign the prospect up as a Harvard Agent, promote/complete the New
Agent Training, and support your new agent as they get into production.

Placing a Craigslist Ad
1. Open a Craigslist account at www.craigslist.com
2. Select the state/city (far right column) in which you wish to post your ad. Cities in
bold are cities which require a fee to post an ad. After selecting your desired location, you will notice the city you have chosen is now displayed in the center heading.
3. Click “Post to Classified” (top left).
4. Choose “Job Offered” and accept Craigslist.org terms and conditions.
5. Choose the category you would like to post your ad in. For sales ads choose
“Sales,” for management (recruiter) ads, we most commonly use “Office/Admin”
or “Business/Management” as the category.
6. When posting the actual ad, you will copy and paste the heading and body into the
appropriate sections of the ads. Samples for both sales and management ads are
located here in the back office.
7. You will need to save the photos from the sample ads in the back office to your
personal hard drive to ensure proper upload. Once they are saved you will use the
Craigslist photo upload to upload your photos.
8. Review your ad and publish.
9. You should shortly receive a confirmation email from Craigslist for a final review
and publish confirmation.
10.Your Craigslist ad will stay active for 30 days, however, as more ads are placed,
yours will move down the line. So refresh or post new ads based upon interview
requests received.
