Dear Guests,
Welcome to Servants of the King, Grove City Christian Academy's fifth annual
fundraising auction!
I am looking forward to spending this exciting evening with you! Please enjoy the
many items up for bid in our silent auction and live auction, while taking note of
the many businesses and individuals who have so generously donated to this event.
Please remember to thank these businesses throughout the year as you have the
opportunity to do so.
Grove City Christian Academy continues to provide excellent Christian education
that is affordable to area families, and it is through your generous bidding here
tonight, and through the generosity of our many donors and sponsors, that this can
be accomplished.
I would like to thank all of the individuals who have made this event possible:
chairmen, committee members, office staff, student helpers, volunteers, sponsors,
donors, and all of you who have supported and continue to support Christian
education with your time, talents, and contributions.
I am pleased that you have chosen to attend tonight and hope that you have a
wonderful time!
In His service,
Marsha Cummings
Auction Chairman

For more than 30 years the call to integrate faith and learning has been the keystone of
Grove City Christian Academy. Families representing over 37 area churches have
committed themselves to the Academy's mission: to assist Christian parents in their
task of bringing up children to the glory of God, by means of instruction in the
classical disciplines under the universal lordship of Christ.
GCCA's goal
oal is providing students with an education where Christ is at the center of
all study, not simply a topic during a Bible class. This approach provides students
with a whole education, where the Creator and Sustainer of the Earth is recognized
and glorified
ed in subjects, such as literature, history, science, and math, and where
students are challenged to think from a Christian perspective.
Currently, we serve approximately 116 students in grades pre-school
school through eighth.
Schooling for pre-school
school through fourth is held at the First Baptist Church on
Cranberry Road in Grove City. Grades fifth through eighth meet at the First Church
of God on West Main Street in Grove City. Along with providing for the needs of
full-time
time students, we also offer courses à llaa carte for students in first through eighth
grade along with a high school study center for homeschooling families. We strive to
enable students to reach their highest academic potential, and we continue to be
academically competitive. We do so that God might be glorified in the lives of the
students and families of Grove City Christian Academy.

AUCTION PROCEDURES AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
Registration
Upon entering the auction, you will receive your bid number with your catalog,
paddle, and name tag(s). Use only the bid number assigned to you for bidding on
silent and live auction items.
Silent Auction
The Silent Auction opens at 5:00 PM. The minimum bid and minimum raise for each
item is written on the bid sheet by the item. To be valid, bids must comply with these
minimums and be legible.
To place a bid, sign only your bid number with your bid amount on the bid sheet.
Doing so constitutes a legal contract to purchase that silent auction item at the price
you stated if your bid is the winning bid. Each new bid must be increased by at least
the minimum bid increment. The last (highest) valid bid entered prior to the
section closing will be the winning bid. Any bids less than the minimum bid
increment will be invalid. In the event of a dispute, the Auction Committee shall
act as final authority in determining the winning bid.
Tables will begin to close as announced by the emcee, starting at approximately
6:00 PM.
Live Auction
Live Auction bidding will begin at approximately 7:30 PM. When bidding, please
hold up your bid number toward the auctioneer. The Live Auction will continue
until all items are sold.
A bid acknowledged by the auctioneer is a legal contract to purchase the item.
During the Live Auction, the auctioneer has the final authority to decide who has the
winning bid and to settle any dispute.
Payment
Formal checkout does not begin until the Live Auction is complete. However, if you
need to leave early, we will try to accommodate you.
All items must be paid for by the end of the evening. For your convenience we gladly
accept Cash, Check, MasterCard and Visa.
Pick-Up
Once you have paid for your winning items, you will be issued a receipt. Please
present this receipt at the Pick-Up Table to claim your winning tangible items and/or
certificates for services.
Terms of Sale
Please read all restrictions on bid sheets and/or certificates. All items and services
are subject to the terms, conditions, and expiration dates specified by the donors.
ix
All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds. Grove City Christian
Academy does not make any expressed or implied warranties or guarantees on
auction items regarding quality or value of items or services. Grove City Christian
Academy has attempted to describe and catalog all items correctly, but all items are
offered and sold "AS IS" and "WITH ALL FAULTS."
Grove City Christian Academy neither warrants nor represents, and in no event shall
be responsible for the correctness of descriptions, genuineness, authorship,
provenance or condition of the items. No statement made in this catalog or made
orally at the auction or elsewhere shall be deemed such a warranty for tax purposes or
market value. Items have not been appraised unless otherwise noted.
Reservations for trips and vacation accommodations must be mutually arranged with
the donor unless otherwise noted.
By the buyer's purchase, the buyer waives any claim for liability against Grove City
Christian Academy, its elected and appointed officials, members and employees,
sponsors, volunteers connected with the auction, auctioneer, and/or the donor of the
item. Neither Grove City Christian Academy nor the donor is responsible for any
personal injuries or damage that may result from the use of the property or services.
Tax Information
This catalog lists the fair market value of each item. Any amount you pay in excess
of the fair market value would normally be available to you as a charitable
contribution for tax purposes. Please check with your tax advisor for specifics.
