The very popular Crow Native Days was
started during the Clara Nomee administration in the 1990’s. The late Carl Venne was
given the task of creating an event that would
entertain the youth and deter them from
abusing themselves by use of alcohol and
other mind altering substances; thus, Crow
Native Days was born.
The early years activities focused on games
for the youth. The event was revived during
the Carl Venne administration and developed into what we know today.
The administration of Chairman Darrin Old
Coyote, Vice-Chairman Dana Wilson, Secretary AJ Not Afraid, and Vice-Secretary
Shawn Backbone, proudly declare they are
drug & alcohol free. The goal of helping the
youth and older persons lead better lives, is
in the minds of the elected officials and
proudly re-enforce how the Crow Native
Days started, with activities and events for all
age groups that are entertaining.
“As Chairman of the Great Crow Nation,
along with my fellow officers, I welcome each
and every one of you to Crow Native Days
2016. May your stay here be full of enjoyed
entertainment and as you leave here, may
your travels be safe and you reach your destination with renewed vision and happiness.
Please come back and visit us again.”
