September 11—2 services!
We will be celebrating 2 services on Sundays,
beginning on Sept. 11.
8:30am and 10:30am
There will be a joint Coffee Hour on Sept. 11.
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
-Ecclesiastes 3:1
The lazy days of summer are almost over, which means children are
going back to school, work may be getting busier, and we’re making the
transition back to two services here at St. Thomas! September 11 will be the
first day that we make this transition, with services at 8:30am and 10:30am.
To celebrate this occasion, we will be having a combined coffee hour between the services on the 11th starting at 9:30. Please bring a dish to share!
The next Sunday, September 18 we will begin a forum series that will
be held between the services at 9:30. We’re titling it “Continuing in the
Apostle’s Teachings: What the Experiences of the Church in Acts Can Teach
Us Today.” We will explore different events in the Acts of the Apostles and
discuss the impact those events had on the early church, as well whether
those events can shed some light on events and issues in the church today.
Please bring your own bible if you are able.
As summer ends and fall begins I hope everyone is excited to see
what this new season has in store and what we might accomplish, with
God’s help!
