From The Acting Principal Dear Parents and Carers, It is with great sadness that I need to let you know that Michelle’s husband passed away last week. On behalf of the school community I have sent our deepest condolences. I ask that if you think it is appropriate, you share this news with your son/daughter. Dale’s funeral is on Wednesday 15th June, with many of our staff attending the service. If you choose to send your child to school on Wednesday, there may be CRT’s working in your child’s classroom rather than their regular teacher. This will also mean that the program for the day will be different. Breakfast Club is open every morning at 8.30am In Michelle’s absence I will be Acting Principal, with Sally Curmi taking up the position as Acting Assistant Principal. Any concerns or queries can be directed to me. Homework Club has finished for this term. A Condolence Book will be placed in the office foyer for you to send your condolences to Michelle and her family. The Uniform Shop is open every Monday and Thursday from 8.30am to 9.00am. Not only have we had the opportunity to view the excitement and the enthusiasm of the students as they made their book selections, but we have also been rewarded with valuable resources that will soon begin to appear in the classrooms and the library Leadership Day On the 24th May, nine leaders were invited to attend a Leadership Program for primary school leaders, at Copperfield College. There were many activities to help us improve our leadership skills. Some of the activities were building a tower with marshmallows and spaghetti and a scavenger hunt. It was a very exciting day and we all hope we can use our new leadership skills for the best. Redya, Dan, Andrew, Tai, Zain, Lejla, Anh, Wendy and Kayleen.
