Dear Fourth Grade Students and Parents:
Take yourself on an adventure this summer to real and imaginary places without
leaving town -- read a book!
The St. James’ Summer Reading Guide has suggestions for books to read this
summer. You may investigate your local libraries and see what other books you find
and then share your discoveries with the rest of your classmates in the fall.
This guide lists chapter books, fantasy, mysteries, classics, Caldecott and Newbery
medal winners, and more!
If you would like to be honored with a Summer Reading Certificate at a
Community Gathering in the fall and receive a free dress day, read four books.
Any combination is acceptable. The idea is to keep reading! List the books on the
back of this sheet, and return it to the Media Center by October 2, 2015.
