Jenny’s Corner
The season of Lent encompasses the 40 days leading up to Easter. It is a time to evaluate our relationship with God. We want to live lives worthy of His calling with clean
hearts. While many focus on “giving up” bad vices during Lent, the idea is to repent
of our sins and live with a renewed commitment to faithfulness.
Summit Square offers many opportunities for renewal this Lenten season…
1) The weekly Bible Study meets on Tuesdays. A Lenten Study titled, “What Wondrous Love” will begin on March 11th at 10:30AM in the First Floor Conference
Room. The DVD presentation will look at how the gospel texts of Jesus’ last week
on earth are brought to life in the artwork of John August Swanson.
2) Make plans to attend the Ecumenical Lenten Luncheons on Wednesdays in
March, starting on the 12th. Make your reservation by calling the front desk by
9:00AM on Mondays. The bus will leave from the front lobby at 11:40AM on
Wednesdays.
3) Daily Devotionals are available for personal reflection. Pick up your copy across
from Jenny’s office. The daily readings begin on Wednesday, March 12th.
4) Vesper Services are held each Sunday at 4:00PM in the 1st Floor Conference
Room.
Blessings,
